Chapter 27

Yoda's POV

Mechanical breathing and the cackling of a mad man filled the room.

"So Yoda and Obi-Wan has finally come to meet their fate!" Sidious cackled.

The two Jedi pulled their lightsabers. The hangar glowed with auras of green and blue. Red now mingled with blue and green.

"Not yet, Sidious." Yoda said. "Finally end the Sith, we have come to do."

This made Sidious cackle even more. Vader made the first move, striking against Obi-Wan's saber. Sidious slammed his blade into Yoda's. Yoda parried each of Sidious' strikes. He quickly responded with strikes of his own. Yoda made Sidious go on the defensive. The Sith jumped backwards and shot lighting at Yoda. His clawed hand quickly intercepted the lightning and he sent it back at the Dark Lord. It sent him flying into an A Wing. Sidious slowly got to his feet and glared.

"You will DIE!!!" He shot more lightning from his hands. Yoda intercepted again. He looked over at the battle between Vader and Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan had his back to the floor with Vader's saber coming down on him. Yoda quickly shot the lightning at Vader, sending him flying into a wall.

"Master Yo-"

"Drop your lightsabers now or I will kill the boy!" Sidious screamed.

Yoda and Obi-Wan quickly looked over at Sidious. Sidious had his lightsaber at Luke's throat. The two Jedi looked at each other and dropped their sabers, kicking them over to the Sith. The Dark Lord pushed the boy to the ground and electrocuted him. His screams echoed in the hangar. Obi-Wan grimaced. Vader slowly got up. His suit was visibly damaged. It was obvious is he didn't get his suit fixed, he would die.

"Vader. Kill them."

Vader grabbed his lightsaber and ignited it.

"If you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you could possibly imagine." Obi-Wan says to Vader as he stands in front of him. Vader swings his saber at Obi-Wan. As soon as it hits its target, Obi-Wan disappeared and his robes fell to the ground. Yoda stared wide-eyed at the robes. He turns his gaze to Sidious.

"Regret that, you will. Return someday, the Jedi will. Die with us, the Jedi Order will not!"

"You fool! You are the last of the Jedi! Lord Vader has killed every other Jedi left. Now with Kenobi dead, you are the last of the wretched Order!"

"No. Wrong, you are."

"Lord Vader. I grow tired of his ramblings. Kill him."

"Yes master." Vader said, glancing at his son before marching to Yoda.

Sidious continued to talk to Luke.

"....Join me...Destroy your father...Rule the galaxy...Stronger than you can imagine..."

"If kill me you do, no chance to save your son, you will have."

"What makes you think I care about him?"

"Deserve a second chance, everyone does. Learned that in hiding, I did. Redeem yourself, you can. For both your children."

"Both?"

"Yes. For Leia and for Luke. Wanted this, Padme did. Disgrace her dying wish, will you?"

The Sith said nothing.

"You dare defy me!? Even after I offer you power and the galaxy!? DIE!!!!!" Sidious screamed, electrocuting Luke. Vader looked over at them. He walked to his master and impaled him on his lightsaber. The lightning stopped. Burning flesh filled the air. Sidious collapsed. Vader followed. Yoda quickly knelt beside Luke.

"Okay, are you?"

"He saved me... My father saved me..." Luke got up as quickly as he could and ran to Vader.

"Luke... help me take this mask off."

"But you'll die!"

"Nothing... can stop that now. Just for once... let me look on you... with my own eyes."

Luke slowly took off Vader's mask. The pale face of Anakin Skywalker stared at the two of them.

"Now... go... my son... Leave me..."

"No! You're coming with me! I'm not leaving you here, I've got to save you!"

"You already... have, Luke. You were right... You were right about me... Tell your sister... you were right......." Vader closed his eyes.

"Father... I won't leave you..."

Yoda put a clawed hand on Luke's shoulder.

"Passed on, he has. With the Force now, he is. Finally, the age of the Sith has been ended. Bring balance to the Force, he did. Truly was the Chosen One, Anakin Skywalker was. Remember him, we will. Grateful, the Jedi Order will always be. Remember him forever, the Jedi will, as the Chosen One and savior of the Jedi."

A/N: I know this is kind of an abrupt ending but I really lost interest in writing this story. I want to move on to bigger and better things. I didn't want to abandon this story but I didn't want to keep writing it so I chose to do a huge time skip and basically skip to the end. I'm sorry if it feels rushed but that's because it was.
