Stepping In (Star Wars AU)

Chapter 8

Third Person

"There is too many Imperials. We need reinforcements." Ki-Adi Mundi says calmly.

Mon sighs.

"We need Isis if we want to have a chance at capturing the Mid Rim planets. I'm sending the Rebel Fleet under the command of Admiral Ackbar. I'm also sending two Jedi of Master Yoda's choosing. Hold on. Reinforcements will be there."

"We cannot hold-"

Ki-Adi's transmission ended. Mon points at Ackbar.

"Go!"

Ackbar runs out of the room.

"Master Yoda. I do not wish to pressure you but we need to get to Isis as soon as possible." Mon says.

"Understand, I do. Sending Master Koon and Master Secura, I will be. May the Force be with you."

The two Jedi nod and run out. When they get to the hangar, Ackbar walks up to them.

"The fleet is over Isis as we speak. You will pick a ship and get there as soon as possible. I will be taking the Home One. Good luck."

"There is no such thing as luck. Only the Force." Plo Koon says.

They leave without another word. Aayla gets into a X Wing while Plo gets into a Y Wing. Wordlessly, they enter hyperspace.

"Get ready! We're coming out of hyperspace. As soon as we do, attack the Imperials!" Kit Fisto yells at the Rebel troops on the bridge.

The blue stripes were replaced with blackness. The star destroyers didn't have a chance as the Rebellion ships fired.

"I'm placing you in charge of our fleets, Admiral Gyd." Kit says. "I will be on the ground as will Luminara. May the Force be with you."

Kit and Luminara run into a troop transport and it takes off.

The Rebel Fleet orbits the crystal planet of Isis firing at two star destroyers.

"We need to hurry! Master Mundi's forces will not hold forever!" Aayla shouts on her comm.

She swerves to left, dodging blaster shots.

"This is taking too long. I need five troop transports to follow me! We're going to land on Isis." Plo Koon orders.

Five troop transports seem to appear out of nowhere.

When Plo and Aayla land and look back, only three of the transports are behind them.

"C'mon!" Plo shouts.

The two Jedi lead the three battalions to the base. The stormtroopers were escorting Rebel scientists and troops into a gunship. Another two were also carrying a body. More specifically, Ki-Adi's unconscious body.

"Fire but do not injure the prisoners!" Aayla shouts.

The stormtroopers turn around as the Rebels start to shoot. They usher the prisoners in and take off.

"Blast!" Aayla screams.

Plo puts a hand on her shoulder.

"We'll find them but we have to focus on capturing this base."

The transport lands. The doors open and the troops rush into the Tipoca City. Kit and Luminara closely follow, igniting there lightsabers. Stormtroopers run out of the doors to the facility and open fire. Kit and Luminara easily reflect them back. They enter the facility, killing the stormtroopers as they proceed. Eventually, they get to cloning room where the Kaminoans are working. A white Kaminoan walks up to them.

"Oh, thank you for liberating us. I am Taun We, the prime minister."

"Your welcome. We came here to destroy the Palpatine clones." Luminara says.

"I know where they are. Follow me."
