Chapter 9

Third Person

Aayla and Plo stand at the console. Mon Mothma had important news to tell them.

"We have learned from the Rebellion spies that Master Mundi and the other Isis prisoners are at an Imperial Prison above Bakura. There are also eight senators who were arrested for treason at the prison. I want you to go and rescue them. The senators are, Canna Omonda, Bana Breemu, Riyo Chuchi, Meena Tills, Terr Taneel, Nee Alavar, Kin Robb, and Lux Bonteri. May the Force be with you."

She ends the transmission.

Plo contacts Admiral Siayt.

"Get the ships ready. We have found the prisoners. They are in an Imperial prison above Bakura. Leave two star cruisers here to defend Isis."

"Yes, sir!"

Plo ends the transmission and looks to Aayla.

"Let's go."

The Jedi get into there individual ships and fly into the docking bay of the flag ship. The fleet enters hyperspace.

Taun We leads Kit and Luminara to part of Tipoca City. A light purple Kaminoan is leaning over a desk. He quickly looks up and draws a blaster. Kit deflects them back at the Imperial affiliated Kaminoan. He drops to the ground, dead.

"We need to destroy his research. We can not let the Imperials get their hands on it. Taun We, can you erase it?"

"Of course."

Taun We walks over to one of the computers. She types for a few minutes before she turns to look at the two Jedi.

"It's done and in payment for freeing Kamino, we would be glad to produce clones for the Rebellion, free of charge."

"We would have to discuss that with the Rebel Council." Luminara says.

"Of course. The offer will still be open."

Taun We exits the room.

Kit Fisto connects to the Rebel Council via comm.

"Mon, Kamino is captured and research has been destroyed," Chears from the council erupt from the comm. "And Taun We, the prime minister of Kamino, has offered to create clones for the Rebellion for free."

Murmurs come across the comm.

"We accept. I will be going to Kamino personally to make a deal with the Kaminoans." Mon Mothma says.

"Okay. Luminara and I go to Chandrila as soon as I'm done here."

"No. The base on Isis was attacked. Master Mundi and the rest of the Rebels were captured and taken to an Imperial prison above Bakura. There are also senators being held there for treason against the Empire. Masters Secura and Koon are already on their way to rescue Master Mundi, any Rebel that is there, and the senators. I have already briefed Masters Secura and Koon. They will bring you up to speed. Take your fleet and get there as soon as possible. May the Force be with you." Mon explains.

The Rebel Fleet immediately starts firing at the star destroyers encircling the prison. Aayla and Plo get into their starships and fly towards the enemy with a Red Squadron following Aayla and Yellow Squadron following Plo.

"Red Squadron, fire at the TIE fighters! Keep them off of me!" Aayla yells into her comm.

"Yellow Squadron, attack the star destroyers. We must destroy them to get to the prisoners before reinforcements arrive." Plo says orders.

The pilots do as they were ordered too.

"Generals!"

A Rebel soldier runs up to the two Jedi.

"Admiral Siayt is requesting reinforcements!"

Kit looks at one of the officers on the deck.

"How long until we get there?"

"In three minutes, General!"

Kit sighs.

One of the star cruisers explode.

"Admiral! Where is our reinforcements!?"

Just as Plo asks that, two fleets and a lone star cruiser come out of hyperspace next to the Rebel Fleet.

"I'm here Generals!" Admiral Ackbar says over the comm.

"You needed assistance, Aayla?" Kit asks teasingly as he and Luminara lead the Rebel pilots to the Imperials.

"We were handling the situation."

Kit just smiled.

The Imperials retreat, going into hyperspace, presumably to get more reinforcements.

"They're retreating! Masters Fisto, Unduli, Secura, and I will be going in to rescue the prisoners. Make sure if the Imperials come back to repel them long enough to get the prisoners out. May the Force be with you."

The Jedi enter the prison's docking bay. They quickly get out of their ships and kill the Imperials.

"Aayla and I will go to the control room to find where the prisoners are located. Plo and Luminara, you will go to the prison cells." Kit says.

They nod and run off to the cells. Kit and Aayla run towards the control room.

Plo and Luminara run past each cell, looking for any Rebels, senators, or Ki-Adi. Then they see a person in a cell covered in robes.

"Senator!"

Nee Alavar looks up at the person. She jumped up and stood in front of the ray shield that prevented her from getting out.

"Master Jedi! Thank the Force you have come!"

"Don't worry. We will get you out of here. Do you know where any of the other senators or Rebels are?" Luminara asks.

"Yes. Senators Chuchi, Tills, Robb and Bonteri are on the level above and senators Omonda, Taneel, and Breemu is across from my cell. The Imperials have just transported prisoners to the highest levels."

"Thank you. I have one ore question. Have you seen a Cerean anywhere?"

"No but I did hear about a Jedi being held with the Rebels."

"Thank you. When the shields are lifted, get to the hanger bay and wait with the other senators while we get the Rebels."

"Okay."

Nee sits back down into her cell as the two Jedi leave. Plo contacts Admiral Siayt on his way up to the Rebel prisoners.

"Admiral. We need transports to get the prisoners out of the prison."

"We can't possible need too many. All we need to rescue are the senators, the Rebels, and that Jedi."

"If we don't free the other prisoners we are no better than the Empire! Get those transports now!"

"Y-yes General!"

Plo ends the link.
