Chapter 7

Clary's POV

We all gathered in the library of the institute. Sophia, Hunter's mom, had called us all here for an emergency meeting, but I didn't know why. Hunter and I sat on the couch. I smiled at him.

We had been dating for the past two years and I feel so lucky to have him.

Hunters other siblings were there also. Sophia came into the room swiftly taking and seat and pulling out some papers. She was wearing a grey shirt and a black cardigan and some jeans.

"Okay so all you children must wondering why we have gathered here in such a haste." She smiled warmly at each of us.

"As you all know the demonic activity has been rising over these past few weeks."

It was true. Hunter and I and our friends from school went demon hunting almost every night at a club call Strobe in the city. The demon activity wasn't only more frequent, but It also seemed more dangerous.

"Idris feels as though there is something sinister going on. So they called the top three best institutes to help defend it, in case of an attack on our capital." Sophia said.

"Well being the best Institute, thanks to a special someone," she glanced at me, "We have been summoned to Idris. So I need all of you to get packed. We leave in the morning."

Hunter and I got up from where we were and started to leave. "Clary, Hunter, your friends from the Shadow School will be coming as well. I have already informed their parents."

"Oh okay," I said, "sounds good."

"Are you nervous about seeing anyone you know in Idris?" Hunter asks me.

"A little, but I know that you'll be there for me right?"

"Of course. Always." Hunter tenderly kisses my cheek and then heads out the door.

I guess we can only wait to see what tomorrow has in store.

I am sooo sorry for not updating a lot lately. Things have been super
Hectic with school and whatnot. Okay can we just talk for a moment...300 READS??? 300 freaking reads guys that's amazing and I cannot thank you enough!
