Haruhi's little sister

Chapter 7

*Karou's pov*

We ran after Haruhi and she told us the story. Hikaru was clenching his fists. I was sad, how could someone do this. Especially to a little girl who just lost her mother.

It was just like a movie, sad moment then thunder. Haruhi squeaked. I looked at Hikaru, my eyes saying to do something. He reached his arms out when the next clap of thunder sounded. She ran into his arms scared. I suggested we head back before we got soaked. They nodded and we made a break for it.

We started running toward Haruhi's place. When we got there it started to pour. I sighed thankful that we avoided the rain. Mai was still asleep in Tamaki's arms. He was sitting with Mai wrapped in a blanket.

*Haruhi's pov*

We arrived back at my place when it started to pour. I sighed and looked at Mai in Tamaki-sempai's arms. He was sitting with my baby sister wrapped in a blanket. She was holding her panda and looked peaceful.

It almost made me forget about everything bad that was happening. That was until a loud clap of thunder was heard. I jumped and covered my ears. Everyone was staring but I couldn't care less right now.

I felt warm arms pull me into a hug. I hid my face in their chest willing the storm to go away. Unfortunately storms don't work like that. I felt the person put earphones on my head and music started playing.

I looked up and saw Hikaru holding me again. I felt myself being picked up as if I weighed nothing. He sat down with me in his lap. I hid my face in his neck and felt hands rubbing my arm and leg and someone else's hand on my back rubbing comfortingly.

*time skip*

The storm was over and I was making tea for everyone. My sister started waking up. She didn't freak out, she hugged Tamaki and thanked him.

He looked at her confused and asked what for. "To keep me safe while I was sleeping." He smiled and put her down. He walked into the kitchen he looked at me and I told him what happened.

He looked sad but then... Oh no I know where this is going. That face usually means he's got an idea. I heard a knock at the door and went to go answer it. Before I opened it I looked to see my sister in the back of the room with Honey-sempai.

I opened the door slightly and...................... there he was. The man who took my sister. I told him with my dark angry voice that he needed to leave. "I'm here to get my runaway kid"

HIS runaway kid! He had some nerve walking up to my door and saying he was taking MY baby sister. I glared at him and told him to leave. I tried closing the door but he threw it open and punched me in the head. Knocking me out.

*Hikaru's pov*

I looked to Karou "take Mai and go in the other room and stay there with her" he was about to protest when I got hit in the stomach and choked out for him to go. He took her and ran.
