I really do not want to be here, but its not like I have a choice. Plus Mai seems to be having fun and she looks so happy, she looks so cute in her dress. This is worth it to see her happy and having fun.

I stand next to the twins and Tamaki on the stairs, Mai standing between me and the twins "it is so good to see you here tonight my little lambs, the Ouran Host Club would like to bid you welcome." The lights start to come on and pretty music starts to play, the girls all clap and look very excited. Mai sees all of the people in the crowd and starts to hide behind me. Some girls coo at how cute she is, and how pretty she looks in her dress.
Kyoya then speaks up "as always ladies the host club members are here for your entertainment, so we invite you to dance to your heart's content. Based on your dancing skills, one lucky young lady will be chosen as tonight's queen. The queen's reward will be a passionate kiss on the cheek from our king." "good luck to you my darlings" Tamaki says blowing a kiss and winking.
The girls cheer and swoon, god I will never understand these people.
The twins show up behind me and tell me to show some enthusiasm. "Well excuse me guys sorry I'm not used to this sort of thing. I've only ever gone to the festivals held in my neighborhood park."
"I don't know if you can really consider that a party or not, well since you are already here, you might as well get something to eat, we've got quite a spread." Kyoya says from somewhere to the side of me. "With fancy tuna?" I ask, Tamaki tells Kyoya to get some fancy tuna here stat. While the twins are crushing me in a hug. Mai somehow wiggles out of the hug and goes to stand by Mori and Honey.
We all head down to the dance floor and everyone starts to dance, well everyone except me until Mai comes up and asks to dance. She gave me the puppy eyes, I couldn't say no to the puppy eyes.
*Mai's pov*
One of the maids at Tamaki's house helped me pick out this beautiful dress before the party, I really feel like a princess now!
Tamaki is about to open the party, the twins tell me to come and stand by them, so I stand between one of them and big sister. Tamaki starts talking "it is so good to see you here tonight my little lambs, the Ouran Host Club would like to bid you welcome." The lights start to come on and pretty music starts to play, the girls all clap and look very excited. I faintly hear some girls saying how cute I look and how pretty my dress is. I blush and start to hide behind big sister.
Tamaki and the others talk more, I don't really pay attention, next thing I know I'm being crushed into a hug by the twins with my sister. I am finally able to escape the hug and go stand by Mori and Honey. They look down at me and smile, I smile back then we head down to the dance floor.
I'm still a bit nervous about all of the people but start to feel better when I recognize some of them as ladies who come to see big sister a lot and start to feel better. I go up to big sister and ask to dance. I gave her the puppy eyes. She can't say no to the puppy eyes.
*Hikaru's pov*
I'm having a nice time dancing with one of our guests when out of the corner of my eye I see Mai dancing with another girl. I smile and show the lady I am dancing with, when she asks what I'm looking at. She coos and tells the others to look. A lot of people start quietly cooing.
Its time to switch partners when Kasuka asks Haruhi to dance, and another asks Mai to dance. They dance for a bit before Honey and Mori run in and grab Haruhi. Time for the plan. I go over to Mai and ask if I may take her for a moment for a small host meeting. She smiles and nods, I pick her up and make my way over to the rest of the hosts.
