I had been left my dad's house and bought an apartment of my own. When I first left, I was homeless to say the least. Then this man saw me and helped me out.
By the way he owns these apartments and when he heard about my situation he let me stay, free of charge. Jaia and Dona kept saying he had a crush on me, but I didn't think so.
If your wondering, I hadn't talked to Jackson since I left. Last I heard he was sent to a rehab or something for drugs.
"Chica!", Jaia exclaimed as she came in.
"Shh, I just got Caeli to take a nap," I told her.
"Oh sorry girl, how she doing?", she asked.
"Pretty good," I said.
"Girl guess what?", Jaia said.
"What?", I asked.
"Jackson pot smoking ass is back and he is sexy as hell now. Girl he make the pussy quiver and he's looking for you," she said.
"Well I'm not looking for him. I don't want to see him and I don't want him anywhere near my child," I said.

"No, absolutely not. Tell him stay where the hell he is and to not come into our lives. Caeli is perfectly fine without him," I said.
"For now she is, but what about when she gets to school and she sees other kids and their fathers. What about when they have donuts for dad or father daughter dances?", Jaia asked.
"I'll go then, we don't need him," I said.
"You may not, but a girl needs her father," Jaia said.
"Momma," Caeli said as she came in the room.
"Yes, honey?", I asked.
"I hungry," she said.
"I'll make you something to eat," I told her. She nodded and sat on the couch.
"What y'all talking about," Caeli asked.
"Grown folks business," I said.
"I grown," she said.
"No your not, your only 3," I said.
"But my birthday in a month," she said.
"You have a long way until you are an adult. Enjoy childhood while you have it," Jaia told her as I went into the kitchen.
I made her a ham and cheese sandwich with animal crackers on the side. Then I grabbed her a Capri Sun.
"Come eat," I told her. She nodded and I helped her onto the stool at the breakfast bar.
"Thank you, mama," she said.
"Your welcome," I said as I went back over to Jaia. I noticed she was on her phone.
"What are you looking at?", I asked.
"I'm looking for a photo of Jackson to show you," she said.
"I already know how he look," I said, rolling my eyes.
"Girl look at him now,'' Jaia said.

"Well he was depressed, when you were gone he barely ate or slept. All he did was smoke," Jaia said.

"I don't know," I said shaking my head.
