when you forgive but can't forget

chapter 1

KATE'S pov.

I waited until he came home hours past and still no sign of him. I was dreading it. I secretly hoped that he wouldn't return. I wonder what would happen to me this time a punch? kicked? Bitten? The bruises from last week still hurt. I shouldn't have to put up with this but I have no choice, I am so scared of what he will do if I leave. I heard the door slam and he staggered in. '' Haha look at you, you look a mess''. he laughed '' I'm sorry'' I whispered. He hated when I said that so he went to pick something up off the counter and decided to throw a vase at my head. I screamed and he just laughed and went to the bedroom to drink more. Then after a few minutes I got up and cleaned myself up and went to the bedroom and told him it's over between us, and after I told him that he got mad and started yelling and I ran out of the house crying. I went to the park around the corner where he can't find me and sat there thinking about what happened and crying and saying how could he do this to me.

Danny's POV.

I was walking down the street around the park and saw a girl there crying and I went up to her and said '' are you okay love'' and she said no and I said my name is Danny. I'm kate she said. So I sat next to her and decided to give her a hug and she hugged back. In my head I was thinking omg she has bruises and cuts all over her what the hell happened to this sweet girl. I didn't want to ask her if she wanted to go to my place and she nodded, so we went back to my place and she started to talk a little and had tea, and I said what happened to you.

Kate's POV.

When danny came up to me I thought he was so cute. I knew his name from somewhere but didn't know. Then it hit me that he was from the script my favorite band ever.

Chapter 2

Kate's POV.

So I was at Danny's house it was nice, and we were talking about what had happened and he was heartbroken about what zack did to me. So he kissed me for a couple minutes, then I put my head on his chest and started to cry and he said everything will be alright your safe now with me. It was late and me danny were watching a movie called Lord of the rings, and we both loved it, and we both fell asleep during the movie.

Danny's POV.

The next morning I woke up at 8:30 and I looked down to see kate curled up next to me, and I gently got up without waking her. I went into the kitchen and started to make breakfast for kate when she wakes up. Then I hear a sound coming from the living room and kate was up and I kissed her on the head, and said morning love. and she smiled back. We walked into the kitchen and I said, I made you some pancakes. She laughed and started to eat. I said ''hey kate do you want to go on a date with me? She nods and smiles at me.

Kate's POV.

I was thinking that danny is a good cook. I was excited to go on a date with Danny and went to kiss him. After I finished my breakfast I went to get ready for my date with Danny. After an hour I finally came back to danny's and he said I looked beautiful and gave me a kiss. We went to this fancy Italian restaurant. We both ordered the risotto. And then guess who walks through the door my ex Zack, and then he charges over and says ''what the hell are you doing''. I say I'm on a date with a nice guy. And zack gets mad because he is drunk and decides to punch me in the face and I start to cry and danny looked so mad, so he stood up.

Danny's POV.

I was so mad that he punched kate so I said, don't yell at her and punch her in the face, you don't go and punch a girl like that. So zack said shut up, she's still with me and I said you are not with kate no more she doesn't want you. So I told him to get out of here or I'm calling the police. Zack said no, so I told the waitress to call the police. The police arrived quickly and arrested Zack and the officer said he won't bother you again, and Kate nodded as tears fell down her face. After all that I took Kate back home with me and as we walked in to the kitchen kate gave me a hug. She said thank you for calling the police, and I said your welcome no one should go through the things you went through, no man should abuse a girl like that. Kate looked at me and smiled and nodded and I kissed her.

Kate's POV.

I said to Danny how could he do this and Danny just said shh it will be okay and I just said I love you Danny, and Danny said I love you too love. After that we both kissed and I said are we together and Danny just nods and says yes. Then I went to the kitchen sink and Danny followed and helped me clean up my head and he stopped and looked into my blue eyes and said I'm sorry that happened tonight and said you should get some sleep after this day. Me and Danny headed up to the bedroom to get some sleep.

Chapter 3

Kate's POV.

I woke up the next day and woke Danny up to make breakfast for him, and he said give me two minutes. So I went downstairs to cook, but it was turning out bad because I burned everything. Then Danny came running down and said what happened and I said sorry I burned everything. Danny said it was fine and suggested that we go out for breakfast and I just nodded.

Danny POV.

After we got ready to go out, we went to the diner across the street from my house. Me and Kate sat at a booth at the back and ordered our food and talked for an hour about things we liked. As we sat there eating I told Kate that I was going to call glen and mark and ask them if they wanted to go to a club with us. Then Kate said that was fine I can't wait to meet them. So I just smiled back. We both left the diner and walked back home and I called glen and mark. I said ''hey glen and mark do you want to go to the club with me and Kate tonight. They both said yeah sure be at your house in twenty minutes. After I ended the conversation me and Kate got ready for tonight. Kate looked so beautiful in her black dress. I kissed her on the cheek and got ready.

Kate's POV.

I was downstairs waiting for Danny, I was excited to meet glen and mark. Then Danny comes downstairs without me knowing and sneaks up behind me and picks me up and starts kissing me. Danny said you look beautiful and I said aww thanks I love you. Danny said it back with a huge smile on his face. Then the doorbell rung and we pushed apart and I went to answer the door and it was glen and mark. I had a huge smile on my face. So I said my name is Kate and glen and mark said hi and glen asked if I was Danny's girlfriend and I said yes I am. They responded with an aww nice to meet you, where's Danny and I said Danny and he came running to the door, and they said some weird Irish things I didn't understand. Glen said that we looked cute together and I kissed Danny, and he asked if I was ready to go and I nodded. So all four of us walked to the club.

Danny's POV.

We finally arrived at the club and we sat at a round table in the middle of the room, and Kate was talking to glen and I asked Kate what she wanted to drink and she said a cocktail please. I walked to the bartender and said can I have a cocktail and a Guinness. After I got the drink and paid for them I returned to the table and gave Kate her drink and she said thanks and kisses me on the head. Then we all started talking about me and Kate and just having fun. Then Kate came close to me and sat on me and asked me for another drink, also glen and mark asked too and I went back to the bar. A few minutes later I returned with the drinks. After Kate finished that one she was acting weird, she got up and started dancing around the table, and glen said she was drunk and I said I know. So I got up and told her that she needs to sit down and she did and I told glen and mark that we should go back home before she starts dancing again. So we left the club and went back to my place. When we returned to the house I carried Kate to the bedroom and tucked her in, and she was passed out, and talked to glen and mark for a little while before they left.

Kate's POV.

Later that night I woke up and was wondering where I was and I was in bed, and thought that Danny put me too bed. I stood up and didn't know what happened at the club, but I have a huge headache. I went downstairs to see Danny, glen and mark starring at me. I walked over to Danny and sits on him and I ask him what happened. Danny said I was drunk and out of control, so we brought you home. I said oh was I that bad and he laughs and said yes. Danny asked me if I wanted something to eat I replied with no. I asked the boys if they wanted to watch a film and they all nodded. The movie was going to be a scary one, at one point I got scared and grabbed Danny's hand and he moved me near him. I started to fall asleep on Danny and he says I'm going to put you to bed, and carries me upstairs.
