When they were finished singing, Zayn looked at them and mouthed ‘Thank you’.
They quickly sat down and the minister was about to say a few words in closing, but Danielle stood up.
“I’m sorry for interrupting. But I need to do this.”
Zayn looked at her with questions in his eyes. Her eyes red from tears. She nodded at Paul who came forward with a boom box.
“Zayn, when Emma first found out about her tumor. Well, you know how she reacted and how she was. Well, she and I spent some time in the studio together. She wrote this song and we laid down the tracks for it. This is our version, but she had a request.”
Zayn looked at her. “Continue, please Danielle.”
Why hadn’t Emma told him about this? Why did she keep it a secret? He looked over at Harry who shrugged his shoulders.
He didn’t have any idea either as to what Danielle was talking about. Zayn leaned over towards Liam.
“Do you know what this is about?”
“No man, I don’t.”
Zayn looked back at Danielle. “She would like One Direction to record this song, and all proceeds to be donated to her charity.” She pressed play on the cd and the music surrounded them.
