I fooled you didn't I? Okay, so I pulled a Dallas on you. Like when Pam woke up and heard her shower running and Bobby was inside. It was all a dream. Some of you may not have ever seen the old Dallas....ask your parents about it...LOL...



I originally wrote this story ten years ago for another fandom, but I changed it to fit with One Direction, and I think it turned out okay.



This story took a whole different turn after chapter one. Having the character Emma develop a brain tumor was not the original plan of the story. The original plan was that she would get pregnant, after they were told they couldn't have kids. And that they were going to adopt. Don't ask why or how it changed. I'm still not sure myself. Lol!



I truly do not know much about cancer or brain tumors. This is only fiction.



But there are people in this world that live with cancer and brain tumors. There are thousands of people in this world that can't have children. And my heart goes out to them.

Also, when I wrote this story. I was reading a story called Between Sisters. It is written by Kristin Hannah. It is a story between two sisters. And while I was reading it, it really freaked me out.



DISCLAIMER: Because in this story, the younger sister develops a brain tumor. Which she thought were just really bad migraines. The whole thing was really weird. It is truly a great book; so if you have a chance, go check it out.



The songs used in this story were songs by Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys. From his first solo album.



And Garth Brooks' "If Tomorrow Never Comes" is one of my ultimate favorite songs.



The other two are songs by a group called Blackhawk. I got to see them when they put on a concert here in the city that I live in. They are a country group, but a very good one. The song "Ships of Heaven" was such a perfect fit for this story. I can't tell you how many times I've cried when I heard this song. Also the song, "Always Have, Always Will" is another perfect fit for this story.



Lastly, I am dedicating this story to my Pappa. He was diagnosed with liver cancer when I was writing this. He passed away four weeks to the day he found out his diagnosis. He didn't have any idea what fan fiction is, but he meant the world to me. He helped to raise me. And when we found out he had cancer; again, I considered not writing this story. But writing helped me to cope. No matter how difficult it was. It was my therapy.
