Heartbreak Before a Race Chapter 5

One month, I have to wait one month until I get to see Tyler again. I think I'm starting to like him now and hopefully Cam doesn't find out. "Come on Jay, let's go hang out do something." Cam said walking into my room. "Ok, let's go race." I said getting my things. I cannot drive as I don't have my license but I can race a truck and our dad has a couple of trucks at the Central Alberta Raceways so we go there and race when there's nothing else to do or Cam wants to practice for his next race, I usually win so it just helps him find new ways to win an actual race.

Cam made me race him like every day until the next race and we both won half the races. "Next time you wake up we will be going to our next race." Cam said walking into my room, he just walks in my room and usually wakes me up whenever he feels like it. "Yeah I know." I said throwing a pillow at him. "So I know you like him." He said matter of factly. "Like who?" I asked playing dumb.

"Tyler Reddick, I know you like him." Cam replied. "As a friend of course." I said smiling. "No, as more than a friend and I will get you two together no matter what it takes." He said. I looked at him dumbfounded. "What?" I asked. "I can tell he likes you and you like him, you two look so cute together and I want you to be happy." He replied. I looked at him again and asked "ok, how do you plan to do that when we are both in relationships with other people?" 

He looked at me, smiled and said "you'll see." Then he left. I don't like his plans that much they scare me and sometimes I get hurt, most of the time I get hurt. "I better not get hurt." I yelled at him. He yelled back "you won't." That was left at that. "Cam?" I asked walking into his room. "What baby sis?" He asked. "Is Hali coming with us again?" I asked. "You know she can't but you can have top bunk again." He answered. "Ok, that will do." I said smiling. "Mom dad and Tyler's parents are in on this plan too." Cam then said. "Ok, well I should go and finish packing." I said before going back to my room and packing. 

I got a request on Skype which is weird because I rarely go on any more. I looked at it and as I saw my brother walking by I asked him if he knew the name and he said it was Reddick so I accepted it. He wanted to video chat so I accepted it and I saw his wonderful face. "Hey Jay." He said smiling. "Hi Tyler." I said also smiling. "Almost time for us to meet again." He said. "I know, I can't wait and I get to stop racing Cam." I said. "Stop racing Cam?" He asked. "Cam has taken to the Central Alberta Raceway every day this month to train and I'm sick of training with that boy." I said.

"Makes sense, does he always train with you?" He asked me. "No, usually he races Hali but she couldn't train." I said. "I see, are you ready for racing this weekend then?" He asked. "Yup, as long as I'm not in it I'll be good." I said. "Well I leave tonight to Virginia." He said. "We leave tomorrow." I said. "Really?" He asked. "Yup, are you bringing your girlfriend this time?" I asked. "Yeah, i want you two to meet." He said. "Alright, well i can't wait Tyler see you later." I said before he said bye and i finished packing. 

"Jaylee wake up it's time to go." My mom said. I jumped up and got ready, I took a shower last night so I just dressed in comfy clothes and we were off, Hali stayed with us last night so she could spend time with Cam before we left. 

"Let's go." I said happy. "Someone wants to see Tyler." I heard Cam say. We got to the RV and both Tyler and a girl were waiting there. "Hi Tyler." I said when we were closer. "Hey Jaylee, Hi Cam, Mrs. and Mr. Hayley." Tyler said. "This is Tiffany, my girlfriend." He said. We said hi and then they left and we went to do whatever in the RV. "Let's go qualify." Cam said before Cam and i set off, our parents were going to stay back for some reason. I went to find Tyler and wish him luck before i went back to Cam. "I don't think Tiffany likes me." I said to Eddie Cam's crew chief while the guys where in qualifying. "Most likely not." She said. After qualifying we went back to the RV and I was bored so i went for a walk. 

"Ty, I know you like her, i don't want you any where near her anymore." I heard by Reddick's RV. "You can't tell me who to be friends with Tiff." He said. Definitely Tyler and his girlfriend in a fight. "I'm your girlfriend." She said in a high pitch. "Well maybe you shouldn't be my girlfriend." He said. Just then i got a text. 'Sorry to do this over text but i cheated on you and i think we should breakup now' i read. "Son of a." I said quietly. "Does that mean we are breaking up?" She asked him. "Yes of course, i can't go out with a controlling whiney girlfriend." He said before she stormed into the RV and then about five minutes later stormed out and i watched her leave the RV park. 

I then walked out where he was still standing outside with tears in my eyes from my break up. "What's wrong Jay?" He asked rushing over to me and hugging me. "He cheated on me and broke up with me over text." I said starting to cry. "Come in Jay." He said, i could hear him sniffling. "What's wrong with you?" I asked. "Tiffany and I just broke up." He said. "Oh." Was all I said before I hugged him. "Everything will work out Tyler." I said after a while of us just sitting and being sad, and i was still crying. Cam then walked into the RV. "Oh, woah what's going on here?" He asked. "He broke up with me." I said crying again. "I broke up with Tiffany because she wouldn't let me be friends with Jay." Tyler then said. "You two." He said before hugging us. 

"I'll just leave now, let you two deal with this." Cam said before leaving. "Jaylee, that guy was stupid for cheating on you, you are the most beautiful girl ever and i hope you know that." He said wiping tears from my cheeks. "You are the most handsome guy i've ever seen and negativity like her shouldn't be happy with a guy like you she needs someone like her selfish self." I said laying my head on his shoulder. I heard someone come into the RV but i was asleep before i could find out who. 

Cam was there, apparently Tyler fell asleep too because i heard "they are so adorable." My brother "I'm hungry." I said to Cam. "I'm on it sis." Cam said before going to get some food for me from the kitchen and brought it back, I ate everything then we got Tyler up finally after a while.
