Cat Chapter 17

As Tyler was qualifying the next day I decided that I wanted a cat so I went to the shelter and got a cat I wanted. "What's his name?" I asked. "This is Millard he's blind in one eye." The lady told me. "I'll take him." I said smiling. "No one wants a blind cat." She said. "Well I do, he's perfect." I replied. "Alright let me get the paper work then you can take him with you." She said leaving me with the cat on the desk. "Here you go." She said coming back in. I signed everything and paid for the cat and we were on our way to the store, I had Millard in his carrier and went into the pet store. I got the best food and cat littler that didn't smell and masked smell. Then I got him toys and treats and a cat carrier bag, paid for everything then went back to the RV. Tyler would still be with the crew, or on the track for qualifying so I moved everything into the RV.

I saw Hayley and Erik and called them over. "I think Tyler's going to get mad at me." I told them. "Why?" Erik asked. "You didn't cheat on him did you?" Hayley then asked. "No, I'm not after me accusing him of cheating on me." I said. "Why will he be mad then?" Erik asked. "Come in." I said. Just then Millard walked out. "A cat?" Hayley asked. "This is Millard he's blind in one eye." I told them picking him up and he started to purr. "He's adorable." Hayley said petting him. "How old?" Erik asked. "He's six months." I said. "And what kind?" He then asked. "Cornish Rex." I replied. "Awe." Hayley replied taking him from me.

"Sorry Erik." I said when she went to sit on the couch with my cat. "I think I should get her a cat." He whispered. "Yeah, they have more Cornish Rex's there who are not blind." I whispered back. "Hey babe, I'm back." Tyler said walking into the RV. "Hey baby, how'd you do?" I asked. "Starting P5." He said. "Not bad." I replied before he kissed me and noticed my guest here. "What's going on?" Tyler asked. "Look at the kitten." Hayley said holding Millard for him to see. "Is that your cat?" He asked her. "Don't get mad at me but I bought Millard, he's blind in one eye look at the poor baby." I said.

"Erik, Hayley I think it's best if you two go, leave the cat." Tyler said and they left. "Millard is adorable." He said picking up the kitten. "I know, he's six months and he's a Cornish Rex." I told him. "Why did you buy him, you know how much work cats are and that I travel all the time so it would be kind of hard to take care of him?" He asked. "Because I wanted a cat." I replied simply. "You wanted a cat, what about the apartment?" He asked. "It's a cat, he will be fine." I told him. "Really?" He asked. "All you have to do is feed a cat and change their litter, plus when we get home I'm getting a litter box for the house that way we can bring him with us." I told him. "You have everything planned." He said kissing me. "Of course, I always do, unless it comes down to you." I said smiling.

"So Millard is a cute name for him." He said giving me the cat. "Yeah I know, I saw him and I just had to get him." I said. "This little guy is going to be loved." He said petting Millard. "Yeah, although he is a little more work since he's blind in one eye." I said. "Yeah, are you bringing him around the track with you?" He asked. "I could I have a bag I can carry around with me." I said. "Yeah, ok let's do that." Tyler said. That's what we did, I carried Millard around the track in the bag. "He's so cute." A teenage girls said. "Yeah his name is Millard." I said. "He's so cute." The other one said.
