Calming day chapter 6

Practice, what a wonderfully weird thing that happened. Tyler let me stay with him and Cam brought me my clothes as long as nothing happened, and nothing did happen. "Cam told me that I can either go with you or my family and he told me to go with you." I said reading the text my brother sent me. "Of course he wants you to come with me, most likely more planning." Tyler said. "Can I go with you?" I asked him. "Of course you can." He said. I smiled and we went to the track.

"Baby sis." Cam said as we walked to Cam's garage before going to Tyler's. "Cammy." I said using my nickname for him from when we were kids before running up and hugging him. "So Tyler, what do you think of my sister?" Cam asked Tyler. "Well, the first time I saw her at Daytona I finally knew the difference between pretty and beautiful." Tyler answered, while I blushed. "She is beautiful my beautiful baby sister." Cam said. "Stop it, you're making me blush." I said using Tyler to hide my face.

"We should go to your garage and get ready for practice." I said to Tyler. "We should, bye Cam see you on the track." Tyler said as I said "Bye Cammy see you later." before we started to leave. I think this is part of his plan." I said on our way, his family already in the pit box. "What is?" Tyler asked. "Him telling me to stay in your RV." I answered. "Sounds like something he would do." Tyler said. We got to the garage and the whole crew had balloons with them.

"What the heck." Tyler said. "Cameron." I replied. They gave me all the balloons and I just smiled and said thank you to all of them. Cam then walked around the corner and said "Jaylee Hayley, I could never find a good enough plan to get you two together so I decided to do this really simple, look on the passenger side truck seat." He said before both Tyler and I went to look on the front seat where a dozen roses sat on the seat so we got the roses from the truck and had to go find Cam for the next thing. "More of the racers are in on this." I said as we walked out and some of the drivers where holding signs that said 'baby sis please go out with Reddick'

"This is adorable." I said before turning to Tyler and Cam somehow got beside him and said "Of course I'll go out with Tyler, if that's actually what he wants." I said. "Of course that's what I want." He said before I hugged him tightly. We kissed then I said "This is the best way to go out with someone." Then the announcer said it was time for practice so everyone got ready and I hung out in Tyler's pit box.

"P2." I said after Tyler got out of the truck. "It was an interesting time out there." He said hugging me. "It looked like it, what are we doing now?" I asked. "We can go get food." He suggested. "Yes, I'm starving." I said then he grabbed my hand and we went to find some food. "We need to be back for next practice." He said as he led me to go find food in the speedway. "I want a piggyback." I said on our way back to the garage. Tyler turned around and I jumped on his back and we were off. "Then he ran back to our mom and I couldn't stop laughing." I finished telling Tyler a story about Cam and I. "Really?" He asked laughing. "Yeah, it was fun for me not so much for him." I said.

"Good luck babe." I said before he was off once again for final practice. I was joking around with his pit crew while Tyler was practicing and it was fun. I turned to one of the members and said "I'm going to Hayley's pit box if Tyler asks." He said "When he asks us." We laughed and I went to my brother's pit box to wait for him. Final practice was done and as soon as my brother got out of his truck I hugged him as tight as I could and we stayed like that for a good ten minutes. "Jay, I drove to the pit stop and you weren't there." I heard, Tyler. "I just wanted to thank my twin for doing everything he's done." I said looking at Tyler.

"I'm hungry." I said smiling at him. "Practice is over let's go find some pizza now." He said I turned to Cam and said "You and Hali should come too." Then the four of us were off. "What are we doing tonight?" I asked Tyler after a while. "Well, I was thinking we could just hang around and talk." Tyler said. "I like that idea a lot." I said. After everything was paid we went back to his RV and I just hung out with Tyler we talked and cuddled and watched movies until we fell asleep.

"Babe, its race day, well and qualifying but RACE DAY!" Tyler said, yelling race day. "Tyler, don't yell I'm sleeping." I said throwing a pillow at him. "Hey, that wasn't nice, but let's go get food." He said jumping around like a child. "Settle down boy, I'll be right beside you, well besides in the truck." I said getting ready for today as he waited on the bed. "Food." I said before we were off. "What are we doing between qualifying and the race?" I asked as we got cereal. "We are going to hang around sign things and just have fun, I'll have an extra sweater for you in case it gets cold." He said sitting beside me and putting an arm around me.

"My family isn't coming to qualifying, they have decided to go shopping, and Cam texted me that your parents won't come either." He told me when he was going to get changed. "So it's just us and Cam, what about Hali?" I asked. "Hali's coming and she's going to hang out with you until qualifying is over and then we can go shopping somewhere." He said. "Alright then let's go." I said before Tyler kissed me and we left.

"Qualifying is intense." Hali said after the boys went to get started. "Yeah, it's intense right from the start, and only gets more intense if you make it to round two and three." I said agreeing. "I wonder how the boys will do." I said as I heard that Cam was up next. "Round two for Cammy." I said after round one was over. "Tyler was so close, just under the bubble." Hali said. "Yeah, hopefully he does better in the race." I said smiling at the thought of him.

"Good try Mr. Reddick." I said being all professional sounding. "Thanks malady, hopefully I'm better in the race." He replied. "What are we doing now?" I asked. "Well, we have time to go and sign some autographs and just hang around." He suggested. "Yeah, let's go and do that, fans would love it although if you don't mind our relationship would get out there too." I said. "I want to tell the world, everyone should know." Tyler said. "Ok, as long as you want this, I just wasn't sure because new relationship and you are competing against my brother." I replied. "That would seem weird but oh well." He said.

"Drivers please head to the stage, driver's families please find your driver's truck." The announcer said. "Where do I go?" I questioned as we were heading to where ever. "Do you want to hang out with me during opening stuff or your brother?" Tyler asked. "You of course." I said smiling. "Hold on, ill text my dad to meet us where I'm going." He said before he texted his dad and we walked towards the stage. "Hi Clarence." I said when we found Tyler's dad. "So you're Jaylee?" He asked. "In the flesh." I replied smiling. It was hectic and I got scared and Tyler noticed before we went to look for his truck so he said to just go wait with the other drivers who were already called and I did.

I hung out with Tyler during the prayer and national anthem holding his hand. "Good luck baby, I'll be cheering you on, although I'll be cheering on my brother too." I said before kissing him. "Yeah, I figured that I'll win this for you." He replied before he went to get into his truck and I went to hang out in the pit box with his family.
