This Is Forever

Chapter 1

I frantically ran around the house trying to make sure we have everything we need for the wedding.

After Chris and I got engaged, we were invited to tour which we went on. So now, a year later, we're finally getting married in a month and I can't calm down... My anxiety is still bad.

"Christian?" I called from the kitchen.

"Nicole!" He called back from upstairs.

"Where are the invitations I filled out last night?"

He came downstairs and wrapped his arms around me, "I already mailed them. You need to relax."

I sighed and wrapped my arms around him, "Sorry, I just want this to be perfect."

"And it will be, as long as you're the one I'm standing with at the alter." He said and kissed my head.

I looked up and he smiled, "I love you." I said and he leaned down to kiss me.

"You're shaking." He said and rubbed my back.

"I'm just anxious.." I laid my head against his chest.

"You," he said and pulled away just a little bit, "need to get out of the house and calm down... Why don't we go for a walk?"

"I don't know Chris," I shook my head, "There's a lot of planning to do and I still have to find-"

"Nikki, it's a month away.. You can take an hour for yourself, you've barely slept."

"I just want this to be perfect."

He gently grabbed my face and kissed me again, "Like I said, it will be. Plus, you've got everything done already.. You're working on minor details."

I nodded, "I guess.."

"Great! I'll get Rocky's leash."

I nodded and Chris went and got Rocky, strapped her harness on, and clipped her leash to it.

"You're so cute," I smiled.

"You're cuter," he said and I blushed.

Rocky already knows we're going for a walk, so she started jumping up and down.

"Rocky!" Chris laughed and opened the door.

Rocky dragged Chris out the door and had me laughing trying to keep up.

"Rocky, heel!" I laughed and she abruptly stopped causing Chris to trip.

I laughed and Chris glared at me. I walked over to him and tried to help him up, but he pulled me down with him, so now we're just laying on the sidewalk.

"Chris, we've literally spent our entire lives together, and we're still going to spend the rest of them together."

He smiled, "And I can't wait." He said before placing his lips on mine.
