I took Chris to the doctor today to see how his muscle is, and it's perfect. So really, the only side affect that happened was the one he was most afraid of...
He hasn't been wanting to do much of anything but hold me. It breaks my heart because he's always been the energetic type to go on random adventures and now all he wants to do is sit around.
It's just weird; he hasn't even been to the studio.
We get home from the doctor and Chris starts to go upstairs. I grab his wrist, "Nope," I tug him back towards me.
"What?"
"All you've been doing is laying around, let's go do something fun!"
"Like what?" He shrugs.
"I don't know, let's go drive, c'mon." I say and drag him outside to the car. He gets in the drivers seat and I smile at him. He smiles back and starts the car.
The ride is silent for a while until I speak up, "Why have you been so... Bleh... Lately?"
He laughs at my choice of words, "Bleh? What does that mean?"
I roll my eyes, "All you want to do is lay around? You never get out anymore, it's been weird since..."
I look away from him and trail off. He knows what I mean. I don't want to say it.
He's silent for a minute and I look back at him. He does the jaw thing (A/N: y'all know what I mean, eh?) and sighs, "Nikki, you just answered yourself."
I sigh, "I know, I just don't like seeing you so bummed out."
He turns the blinker on and pulls over to the side of the road. I look at him weird, "Chris? What're you-"
"Nikki, I know you know exactly why I've been acting this way. I know you're not happy either."
I look down trying not to look at him. If I look at him, he'll make me cry because I know he's hurting. He puts his hand on my thigh and I look up at him.
"You know I wanted kids, and I know you were scared anyway, but-"
I cut him off, "I'd do it for you..."
He looks at me shocked, "You would?"
I nod, "I'd love to do that, I just didn't want to be bad at it." I laugh and he takes my hand, laughing with me.
"Yeah, but now we might not be able to-"
"Don't think like that, Chris..."
"It's hard not to when I've basically been told I can't."
"It's not impossible..."
"Nikki," he sighs, "what are the odds?"
I shrug, "We can beat them..."
"Are you sure you would be ready for that?" He asks squeezing my hand. Nope, not sure at all.
"I'm ready when you are," I smile.
He smiles at me, "You're lying,"
"But I'm not lying about the fact that I'd do it for you."
He leans over and kisses me, then starts the car and we head off in some random direction.
The next day, I woke up to a banging noise and instantly jumped out of bed and nearly slid down the stairs I ran so fast.
I run into the kitchen and Chris looks up at me, "Hi.."
"What was that?"
"I dropped a pan?"
I slide down the wall, placing my hands over my face because jumping out of bed so fast caught up to me, "I thought you fell again or something..."
He sits on the floor across from me and puts his hand on my leg. I remove my hands from my face to look at him.
"I'm okay..." He smiles. He leans forward and wraps his arms around me. He slides his hands down my side and I think he's going to get touchy, but I just woke up.
Instead, he starts tickling my side and I screech, attempting to stand up and get away from him, but he grabs my waist and pulls me down to his lap.
"Chris stop!" I laugh as he keeps going.
"You know I hate being tickled!"
"I know, that's why I'm doing it!"
I try to slap his hands away, but his grip is better than mine. I try to crawl away but he slides his hands down my thighs and squeezes right above my knee.
"Christian!" I shriek and he laughs. He finally lets go because he can't stop laughing and I cross my arms.
"Not funny."
"Freaking hilarious! I love how you can't stand being tickled!"
I roll my eyes and stand up, walking away from him. He stands up and follows me, still laughing.
"Baby, come back! I'm sorry!"
I walk up the stairs and he's still laughing. I hear him run up the stairs after me. He wraps his arms around my waist from behind.
"You have a really nice butt." He says. I laugh and slap his chest with the back of my hand.
"I can't help it," he laughs and kisses the side of my head.
"Anyway," I laugh and turn to wrap my arms around his neck, "What should we do today?"
"There's a lot of things running through my mind..." He bites his lip.
I shake my head, "Not that, stupid."
He laughs and pulls me to him closer, "Then what do you want to do, my love?"
"Let's get out of the house."
"Baby, I don't really-"
"We went over this last night. We're going to do it."
He stares at me, not saying anything. He sighs and puts his head on my shoulder. I run my fingers through his hair from the back.
"Don't doubt, have faith.." I say and kiss his head. I don't know why he wants kids so bad, they're sticky and loud... I like kids, I just don't know about my own; I'd do it for him though...
I mean, we have a dog, I thought that was good.
"How about we go get something to eat, eh?"
He laughs at me, "Your Canadian is coming out."
I roll my eyes, "Just get dressed, you dork."
