Without you is a little more than I can stand--
Without you, things get a little out of hand.
Without you, I take one step forward and ten steps back --
Without you, it's hard for me to stay on track.
I can't breathe without you by my side;
You saw everything I always tried to hide.
It's hard to deal with you being so far away --
Since you left, my world's been shades of gray.
We used to be so close -- we could barely go a day...
A day without talking was unheard of -- there was too much to say.
It's been two weeks since we last spoke --
Two months, if truth be told, and it's so damned hard to cope.
I miss the way things used to be --
Miss the way it was between you and me;
They say time apart is good for the heart,
But all this time is tearing me apart.
