Tell me all the things I want to hear,
Whisper sweet nothings in my ear --
Hold me tightly, hold me near,
And wipe away every single tear.

Look in my eyes when you sigh,
And tell me another heart-felt lie.
This is a game of be the one to con, or be the one to cry --
Love is a battlefield, and as always, I'm always the one to die.

Lies fly off your tongue, you spout them with such ease...
Yet I know, the things you say are designed to decieve;
You seem to be my only reprieve...
Won't you stay with me a little longer, please?

Tell me all the things I want to hear,
Whisper sweet nothings in my ear --
Hold me tightly, hold me near,
And put an ease to all my fear.

Everything seems so benign,
It runs right on time, all by design --
We play our parts very well,
How long it lasts, only time will tell.

Tell me all the things I want to hear,
Whisper sweet nothings in my ear --
Hold me tightly, hold me near,
And wipe away every single tear.

Look in my eyes when you sigh,
And tell me another heart-felt lie.
This is a game of be the one to con, or be the one to cry --
Love is a battlefield, and as always, I'm the one to die.
