Chapter 14

~~~~~Toni's POV~~~~
*Two months later*

Keri and I are still together. He is still recovering from his injuries and he's been a little...um...stressed and angry lately, sometimes for no good reason at all.

Keri: *struggles to get out of bed* AHHH

Toni: *laying next to him* Baby are you ok

Keri: No i'm fine Toni *sarcastically* DUMB BITCH

Toni: *sits up* You don't have to catch an attitude...I was just asking

Keri: *looks at Toni like he wants to backhand slap her* Don't make me come over there

Keri then turns around and continues walking towards the bathroom. Toni layes back down for two minutes, then gets up to make breakfast.

~~~Thirty minutes later~~~~

Toni: *places the food on Keri's plate just as he walks to the table*

Keri: *sits down and immediately pushes the plate away* DAMNIT TONI CAN'T YOU DO ANYTHING RIGHT...I DON'T LIKE MY EGGS SUNNYSIDE UP

Toni: *continues eating* You don't have to eat the damn eggs yaknow *mutters to herself*

Keri: *stares at her* I'm sorry what was that, I didn't hear you

Toni: Nothing, nothing...geez *gets up to wash the dishes*

Keri: Yea, keep it up you're gonna make me do something ima regret... *mutters to himself as he walks out the room*

Toni: *rolls eyes* BABE I'M GOING OVER TO TAMAR'S *walks out the door*

~~~~~At Tamar's House~~~

Toni: *crying* You should see the way he treats me, it's like he doesn't even care about me, like I'm dirt to him

Tamar: *comforts her* Toni, if you don't enjoy the relationship, then why are you still with him

Toni: He's going through a tough time and...I...I'm all that he has and he's all that I have and plus I love him

Tamar: He is definitely not all that you have, you have mommy, your sisters, and you even have Babyface

Toni: Oh please, face hasn't spoken to me since I was in the hospital and I don't think he wants to speak to me

Tamar: what do you mean, what happened?

Toni: *looks at Tamar with a guilty look* Well, the night I was in the hospital Ken texted me and I told him about Keri's condition and I told him that I was still in love with Keri and that I could never leave him. I noticed that he wasn't as happy after I told him that and since then he just stopped talking to me.

Tamar: TONI MICHELLE BRAXTON, ARE YOU CRAZY???

Toni: What did I do?

Tamar: Why would you say that to him?

Toni: What do you mean?

Tamar: I mean, you know he is in love with you, and has been since the day you two first met

***Thinks about when they first met***

Toni: Yea...I guess you're right

Tamar: I know i'm right and I know that you have been in love with him since the first time you two met.

Toni: And how would you possibly know that *wipes tears away*

Tamar: oh come on, I know love when I see it. I can tell by the way you look at him when you two write music together, how you blush when he sings to you, and how you two look at eachother when your hands accidentally touch when you're playing the piano together.

Toni: That doesn't mean anything...that happens to anyone

Tamar: Come on Toni quit denying it. Who knows you better than Kenny does?

Toni: Well...it doesn't matter anyway because the one person that I miss more than anything won't even talk to me *begins to cry and weep*

Tamar: I know it hurts...but you will get him back...meanwhile you need to deal with Keri first

Toni: *starts to leave* Thanks tay...I really needed this

Tamar: *hugs her tight* Anytime sissy...just know I am your sister and I got you, Forever...no matter what

Toni gets into her car and heads home...until she realizes she has something important to do.

*Makes a U turn and drives in the other direction from her house*
