*At the meeting*
Ten minutes later...guess who decides to finally show up.
Kenny: Hello everyone, sorry i'm late please continue
Toni: *looks at Kenny with a naughty look on her face* Hello
Kenny: *ignores Toni*
*The meeting continues*
At the end of the meeting, Toni tries to talk to Kenny.
Toni: Ken *walks up to him*
Kenny: *walks past her to his car*
Toni gets in her car and drives home.
Toni: Baby, I'm home *walks to the bedroom to see it empty*
Toni notices a note on Keri's nightstand that reads:
Toni, I have decided to leave. I think I deserve someone that will actually love me and not go out and cheat on me with some guy. No hard feelings... I just can't continue to love someone I clearly have no feelings for. I have already started moving my stuff so here is my key...I won't be needing it anymore.
Toni looks at the key as tears begin to fall down her face... How did I lose HIM? I can't take this I need to talk to Tamar.
*Toni texts Tamar*
Toni: I need to talk to you...come over and HURRY
Tayme: I'm on my way
*Ten minutes later*
*Knock, knock*
Toni gets up and answers the door and before she can even say hello to Tamar-
"I CAME AS FAST AS I COULD...NOW CHILE TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED" Tamar exclaimed while storming into Toni's living room.
Toni sits beside her sister and instantly bursts into tears.
"Oh tone...what happened?" she said while hugging Toni.
"Well...umm...*takes deep breathe* Keri left me"
"WHAT??? WHY???"
"Well he and I were drifting apart after he had his incident, then he began to be very mean to me and say things like i'm ugly or he doesn't love me, then he found out that I went to Kenny's house and he brutally beat me and split my cheek open and-"
"WAIT WAIT WAIT...YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT HE PUT HIS HANDS ON YOU??? OH I THINK NOT, HE HAS NO RIGHT PUTTING HIS HANDS ON YOU TONI"
"Tamar, calm down... The damage is done. But the point of the story was that he left me" she said while looking down.
"WAIT, WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE DAMAGE IS DONE, NO NO NO THE DAMAGE IS GOING TO START WHEN I CATCH HIS ASS ON THE STREET. WHY DID HE LEAVE YOU ANYWAY?
"I...i don't know... I took care of him, loved him and was loyal to him... All except...well...I kind of..." Tries to cover her mouth.
"All except what???"
"I umm kind of...*whispers* slept with Kenny" *Looks away.*
" YOU DID WHAT???"
"I know"
"About time"
"What?"
"I told you, you two belong together"
"I know...and I thought so too, until he completely ignored me today" Toni said with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Well do you have any idea why?" she said with her arm around Toni.
"No...maybe I should talk to him" she said while holding her phone.
"Yes you should and tell me what happens, bye Toni" Tamar said while giving Toni a hug and heading for the door.
Toni: *dials the number*
Tamar: oh wait Toni, one more thing
Toni: *looks up fast*
Tamar: GO GET YOUR MAN *walks out the door*
After Tamar leaves she calls Kenny and he doesn't answer...the first time. She calls him again and after the third ring, he finally answered.
Kenny: Hello
Toni: Kenneth babyface Edmonds, why have you been ignoring me???
Kenny: Toni, I really don't feel like talking to you right now
Toni: What? why?
Kenny: I just-
Toni: SO YOU THINK WE CAN JUST SLEEP TOGETHER AND YOU CAN IGNORE ME JUST LIKE THAT?
Kenny: Toni *calmly* I just think it would be best to keep my distance from you
Toni: why?
Kenny: BECAUSE TONI IF I'M GONNA BE HELPLESSLY IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE, I WOULD LIKE THEM TO COMPLETELY BELONG TO ME AND NOT BE MARRIED TO SOMEONE ELSE
Toni: ...
Kenny: Whatever...i gotta go *hangs up*
Toni drops her phone on the couch and sits there staring out into space with one thought on her mind... How could I hurt Kenny...again? How could I take a man's heart and just stomp all over it like some kind of monster? I need to fix this.
Toni gets up, puts on her shoes, grabs her keys and speed down the road...to make this right.
