Chapter 13

"DID YOU HURT TONI??"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"DID YOU HURT HER?!?!"

"Maybe I did...maybe I didn't."

"HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO HER?"

"How could she reject being with me, her own boyfriend, just to go on a date with you."

*slowly picks up the first weapon he sees...a bat*

"I mean you're not even all that...I'm better looking and I'm-" *notices Kenny picking up bat* "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING" *pulls out gun*

Kenny stops, looks at Keri and continues reaching for the bat.

"I WILL SHOOT YOU"

Kenny stops, looks Keri in the eyes and says "You're bluffing"

"Try me"

Kenny goes for the bat again...but this time... *gun shot*

Keri tries to shoot Kenny's hand but misses. Kenny quickly grabs the bat and lunges it at Keri's hand and makes him drop the gun. Kenny then tackles Keri and they both tackle eachother on the ground.

Kenny and Keri both stumble after the gun. Keri reaches his arms out as far as he can and grabs the gun and pulls the- *gunshot sounds off*

Kenny looks over at Keri and sees him lying on his back with blood coming out of his side. Kenny looks at the gun in Keri's hand and then looks up at Tamar.

"How did you know I was here?"

He says slowly getting up with a surprised expression on his face while looking at the pistol in her hand.

"Oh come on, Did you really think my sister could get jumped and my brother in law get attacked without Detective Tamar knowing about it?"

She said blowing off the front of the gun and flipping her hair.

"Thank you so much Tamar" *He said while hugging her*

"It was nothing bro...the crazy things we do for the ones we love, now let's get out of here before the cops show up." *runs out*

Kenny turns around one more time and looks at Keri...but right when he was about to walk off...

"This...is...not o..over...I w...will get my...revenge if it's...the...the l-last thing I do."

Kenny stops, slowly turns around and kicks him right in his ribs and says, "Not even if you tried" and walks off.

As Kenny gets into his car and heads home he glances at the time.

"Ugh...almost 3:00 on the morning"

Kenny pulls up to his driveway and heads into his home. Kenny takes a shower and as he puts on his pajama pants he looks in the mirror and sees a huge scar down his side from when Keri and him were fighting for the gun. He then looks closely at his face, his eyes were really red from exhaustion, anger and despair. Kenny lays in his bed wide awake so he decides to text Toni.

Kenny: I'm sorry about leaving you earlier today

Tone😍💕: It's ok...where did you go?

Kenny: ummm no where

Tone😍💕: really ken

Kenny: I'm not lying I just headed home because I had something important to do

Tone😍💕: more important than being with me?

Kenny: no tone you know you mean the world to me

Tone😍💕: Then why won't you just tell me where you ran off to

Kenny: I didn't go anywhere

Tone😍💕: I know that's not true Kenny

Kenny: And how would you possibly know that Ms.Know-it-all

Tone😍💕: because...his mom called me today and told me that Keri has been beaten and shot and he lost a lot of blood. They took him to the hospital and because of the large amount of blood lost... He might not make it

Kenny: Wow.. Do they have any idea who did it?

Tone😍💕: No they said the person didn't leave behind any traceable evidence

Kenny: Oh...welp karma's a bitch

Tone😍💕: HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT

Kenny: what do you mean...I kinda thought since the incident happened that you two were split up and I thought you hated him

Tone😍💕: I mean...I know I should hate him and want him to be sad and unhappy...but I'm just too in love with him to ever hate him

Kenny read the message and almost threw his phone. He wanted to drive to the hospital that keri is located and beat him to a bloody pulp...but he eventually calmed himself down enough to text back

Kenny: What makes you love a person that hurt you so bad

Tone😍💕: idk...I love very hard and easily ig and it's just hard for me to get unattached to things...even people that do terrible things to me

Kenny: I gotta go Toni...it's getting pretty late

Tone😍💕: oh...ok

Kenny reread toni's response to his question and eventually fell asleep.

********Toni's POV*******

I know I should probably be hating Keri..but I just love him too much , I really do and I also believe we could move past this and form a bonding, trusting relationship. I really hope he makes it.
