         • Deshawn's POV •

"Welcome," Mr. Lacob said shaking my hand. "Thank you," I replied taking in the view from the private plane landing on top of his private building. Mr. Lacob was one of the co-owners for the Warriors team. Next to him stood the coach for GSW, Steve Kerr. I shook his hand also.
"We've been waiting for you," Coach Kerr admitted," how was the flight.
"Horrific," I sighed. That was my first time ever being on a plane. I never went anywhere out of Chicago without driving or on the bus. They both laughed at my remark and assisted me with my suitcase to the elevator that lead to the inside of the building.
"There's a limo downstairs waiting to take us to the arena," Mr. Lacob informed me on the elevator ride down. I nodded.
"I personally watch some of the Cougars games and I must say that you are valuable player."
"Oh thank you sir," I said trying to act as formal and well composed as possible.
"I saw the same talent in Stephen Curry when we drafted him years ago. You could be a great like him in the making, Mr. Harris."
"That's what I'm aiming for," I smiled as the elevator doors slid open exposing us to the outside. A chauffeur stood next to a limousine with the door open for us.
"My journey ends here. I have many things to attend to, but you and Coach Kerr shall go. I hope to have you around very soon," Mr. Lacob laughed pointing at me. "Likewise," I said getting into the car with coach.
"The guys told me that they can't wait to meet you," Coach told me as the car took a right.
"What guys?" I asked.
"Clay, Draymond, and Steph. They're at the arena waiting for you. Eager to show you some pointers."
"I'm eager to learn," I said reaching for my phone which was vibrating in my pocket.

Bri was calling and I know I should answer but it seems as if it would be bad to do so while coach was in the car. Wouldn't be the best first impression.

I sent the message as we pulled in front of the Oracle Arena. The chauffeur assisted us out. Coach informed me to leave my bags because the driver will have them delivered to my hotel room.
The arena was three times bigger than our college gym. Once we walked in, I was familiar with what I saw from seeing it all on my tv.
"Nice huh?" Coach Kerr asked slapping me on my back. I nodded speechless cause I never thought I would be here in a million years.
"You can enter the gym. The guys are in there fooling around. I have to go to tend to something real quick but I'll be back. Make yourself at home."
I nodded once again as I pushed open the door that led to the court.
"I bet you won't do that on Lebron!" Draymond laughed throwing the ball at Steph.
"Anybody can get this work," Steph answers making a shot from half court.
"Harris is here," Clay warned them pointing in my direction once he noticed me watching them.
They all signaled me over on to the court.
"Hey!" They all said in unison as I approached them.
"Hey," I said shyly. I wasn't one to be timid but seeing them was like a dream. I don't think I ever fully realized what it was like to be going to the NBA and  being amongst the pros until this exact moment. I wasn't taking it as serious until now.
They all greeted me with a handshake.
"We've heard so much about you," Clay mentioned.
"Yeah man. Your ball handling is A1," Draymond complimented.
"Maybe you can bring some of that talent to the Warriors," Steph added.
"I'm still considering but it would be cool as hell," I agreed," I mean y'all are like greats now. The whole Splash Brothers crew ya know."
Steph laughed and nodded," We could use a new addition...sense Draymond  slacking."
Draymond gave Curry a playful shove," I hate a light skin nigga. They swear they on some."
"Y'all both childish," Clay frowned shaking his head," if you sign expect this on a daily basis."
I laughed," Sounds like my team but better."
"So tell us some about yourself," Draymond said cutting Clay off.
I shrugged," Um...well what you want to know?"
"What you majoring in?" Curry asked taking a seat on the bench.
"Education. I wanted to be a math teacher."
"Teacher? That's new." Clay said.
"Yeah, I'm really good at math and I like kids to a certain extent so..." I said scratching my head.
"Kids are great. I got two little girls man. They're my world," Steph smiled at the thought.
Draymond gave him the side eye," What that got to do with teaching?"
"He said something bout kids, Dray."
Clay just shook his head," Aye, you got kids?"
I shook my head,"No, not yet anyways."
"Ah, so you want some?" He asked.
"Yeah futuristically speaking of course."
"I was going to say they got hella fine ones here in the Bay. They stay at the club. Maybe we could take you out there tonight," Draymond said scratching his chin.
I shook my head,"I, uh...I got a girlfriend. I don't think she would be to happy about that."
Steph gave me a high five," At least two is got our heads screwed on right. That's why y'all two lonely now. It isn't hard to be faithful."
"These hoes ain't loyal. You lucky you got to Ayesha before I did cause....boy oh boy!" Draymond smiled with his eyes closed. Steph punched him in the arm," Get my wife out of your head."
"I got a girlfriend to Deshawn but I mean hanging out with your new homies ain't gone cause no issues," Clay told me.
"Don't do it," Steph said shaking his head.
"Need to enjoy yourself while you're here," Draymond shrugged. I nodded because that was true all I had was one more day before I had to come back home and I wanted to make this short time in the Bay rememberable. "Exactly," Clay agreed.
"I'm not taking any part in this mess," Steph frowned.
"Do you ever?" Draymond questioned.
Steph glared at him," Don't start."
"Are we hitting up the club or not man!?" Clay asked.
Draymond looked at me and so did Clay.
"Um...why not," I shrugged," after all I do want to enjoy this trip."
They both got excited and began to make plans for where we were going tonight. Steph just looked at me and shook his head," Hope you enjoy it."
I knew I probably shouldn't go but Bri was a chill (for the most part) type of girlfriend. She wouldn't be mad if I went. Would she? No she wouldn't it's just like a party. Except, there would be girls there practically throwing themselves on us wanting to dance and gyrate on me, get my number, and a possible visit to my hotel room. But I wasn't that stupid to do the last two things. I liked Brianne to much to hurt her like that.
That's if she'd ever find out anyways.
