• Brianne's POV •
"Be still," I snapped at Deshawn as I made sure his robe fit him.
"It's fine Bri," he groaned.
"Now it is," I said moving the string off the cap out of his face.
"This is just a rehearsal, baby," he reminded.
"I know," I smiled," it just feels so surreal."
"I know," he mumbled," how are we going to do this?" Deshawn grabbed my hand signaling that he as talking about out relationship. I sighed. On the inside I knew what I was going to do. I was going to stay. I felt like what we had was worth giving a shot. I loved him just that much. Despite all his internal issues, which I was more than willing to help mend together.
I had been procrastinating on telling Deshawn that I was going to stay. I wanted to surprise him because it was such a big deal. Especially to him. The only person that knew was Brooklyn and my parents. My parents weren't too elated that I chose to make Chicago my home, but they weren't against it either. I'm old enough to make my own decisions and this is one of them.
"Deshawn,"I began.
"Yeah?" He asked looking at himself in his phone camera.
"I thought a lot about..."
"All graduates please get in line for rehearsals!" A woman fussed into a blow horn.
"Tell me later. Go to go babe," Deshawn rushed as he bent down and planted a kiss on my forehead.
I sighed. This rehearsal was killing my vibe right now. Graduation was on Saturday which was just a day away. Pretty soon adult life was going to hit me in the face.We walked through the ceremony twice. At the end, everybody was ready to go back to their dorms and houses. I found Deshawn and Rakeem in the crowd of people getting ready to exit the auditorium.
"So what were we talking about?" Deshawn asked as I approached.
"Yeah baby," Rakeem mocked.
I gave him a light push," Shut up. I want to talk to you in private."
"This can't be good," D sighed.
"She pregnant bro," Rakeem joked.
I pinched him on the arm," Don't speak on what you don't know nappy head."
"I'll let y'all two love birds be then," Keem laughed as he gave us our space.
"So...?" Deshawn asked with an eyebrow raised.
I grabbed him by his wrist and led him to the grove.
"We went here before," Deshawn remembered," one of the last times we were into it."
I nodded," but this is different."
"Ok, so wassup ma?"
"I thought about whether or not I was going to stay here or go back home to Georgia..." I cleared my throat.
Deshawn rubbed the back of his neck and sighed," Don't remind me..."
"No, just listen. I thought about it. A lot. Really hard actually and I've come to a conclusion."
"Which is?"
"I decide that...I'm going to stay." I finally aired out.
"You're kidding," he smiled big.
I shook my head no.
"Then this means," Deshawn smirked," we can do this me and you thing."
"As long as you don't quit me," I laughed.
Deshawn cupped face with both his hands," I wouldn't."
I smiled back at him. Things were going so well between us over the past couple of weeks.
"...because I...I, I love you, Brianne King. And I mean it," Deshanw hesitated. I was in complete shock. This was the very first time he had ever said that to me. It was like he always wanted to but something always held him back. I could tell he truly meant it by the look in his eyes. I knew before he said it that he cared for me, but it seemed to be scary for him to actually say those three little but very important words.
It meant a lot to me that surely but slowly Deshawn was breaking down those walls he had for me.
"I love you too," I repeated. And I meant it too. Deshawn leaned in and kissed me. His soft lips and tongue were becoming aggressive on mine. I knew all too well what kissing like this between us led to.This chapter is pretty short but straight to the point. Part Two to this chapter is coming soon though you guys! I'll try to do better with updates even though I'm working on this and another Wattpad book. This book is also soon coming to an end but don't worry there will be a sequel.
