(Two chapter in one day, how ya like that eh?)

I jolted upright and lunged for my desk, grabbing the keys to my car as I ran for the door, sliding down the hallway as I ran towards the stairs.

I knew it was late at night, possibly early morning and there was a storm raging outside but I had to see him, I had to know.

"Gavin..? What are you doing up this late?" Cynthia asked, sitting up from her make shift bed on the couch.

"Hi Cynthia." I said quickly throwing my shoes on and grabbing my hoodie. "Bye Cynthia." I said as I bolted out the door, fumbling with the key to my car as the rain made it slippery.

Eventually I got it open and pulled out of the driveway, speeding through the rain, jumping at every roar of thunder, the silly fear still effecting me as I drove in the dark. Everything was so much freakier at night. Well, I suppose it was morning since it read 1:27 on the clock but whatever.

It felt like every minute was a hour as I drove through the dark and empty streets, the rain beating against my window as the orange light from street lamps reflected on the glossy road.

It was almost peaceful, if it wasn't for the pounding rain and the roaring thunder that made me jump with every flash.

I finally pulled onto his street and parked in his driveway, pulling my hoodie close to me as I turned off my car.

There weren't any lights on and I was worried that he wouldn't be here.

I knew that Kaycee had said she was going back to her dads and I was worried Caspar would be lonely, especially now.

I knocked nervously on his front door, not sure if he would hear me or not. I couldn't exactly ring the doorbell considering it was broken from when David had decided to see how fast he could ring it so now what do I do...

I stood awkwardly by the doorway, the rain pouring down even heavier now as the sound of thunder was almost overhead now, making me shiver with the cold as I knocked on the door again, my fear growing as I pulled my hood closer over my head and held my arms close to  conserve body heat.

Suddenly a beautiful light lit up the entire sky, a jagged bolt gracing the sky for only a second as the rain turned to hail, the roll of thunder that followed shaking me to my core as I covered my ears.

There was so much noise happening and any second I felt like I was going to break down in tears. I was outside in the cold hail with thunder all around me and if only I could reach Caspar.

I slammed my fist against the door and suddenly it opened, sending me tumbling forward as Caspar caught me, his surprise evident as he stumbled backwards, closing the door clumsily behind us as I wrapped my arms around him, letting the feel of shelter wash over me.

"...Gavin?" He asked, his more rough voice letting me know I had indeed woken him up and because of me he would continue to not get any sleep.

I didn't say anything at first, not knowing what it is I should be saying.

Should I just flat out tell him that I'd figured him out? That I had uncovered his greatest secret? Or should I play dumb till he felt he could tell me?

"Danielle." I said quietly as I felt him tense up, his whole body going ridged as I kept my face buried in his shoulder.

We both stayed dead silent as the storm raged on outside, the sound of the wind beating the house drowning out the sound of our breaths.
