Today was the day Cynthia was supposed to arrive.
I wasn't really sure if she would be here on time and I didn't really want to stick around to find out. Which is why I'm at Caspar's house, lazily napping on the couch as we watched Bob's Burgers.
"Dude she can't be that bad." Caspar said as I glanced over at him, his arm draped over the side of the couch as he looked at me, his green hair getting in his eyes slightly. I'd noticed it had started growing out, much longer than when I'd first met him.
"Sadly she is bad. She may be my only city friend but she is terrifying and threatening and I think I'm going to get stabbed for telling Kaycee she was my girlfriend." I said as my voice got higher with every word.
Caspar sat up on his couch, looking at me skeptically as I let out a exasperated sigh, falling back into the couch and staring up at the ceiling.
"I'm sure she's a great person." Caspar said walking over so that instead of the ceiling I was looking at him. "She's going to stab me 666 times." I said as he rolled his eyes, sitting beside me with his legs crossed, still looking down at me.
"You're hilarious." He said sarcastically as I just smiled at him. "What?" He asked as I continued to smile at him. I remembered the conversation I'd had with Danielle, about who had the better boyfriend and I couldn't help but think I loved him.
"Seriously Gavin, what? You're staring at me weird." He said awkwardly, his face tinted slightly pink. "I love you" I said happily as he looked at me with a bit of shock, his eyes wide before blushing a deep shade of red and stuttering.
"I- uh- love you too." He said looking at me. I sat up and took in his full appearance, his green hair still rather ruffled from his nap on the couch and his neon green eyes looking at me curiously. I noted the way he sat, with his arms holding himself up in front of him and his legs crossed beneath him.
"You're acting weird today." He said as I shrugged. "Am I not allowed to stare at my boyfriend?" I asked innocently as he smiled shyly, leaning forward and kissing me, my body automatically leaning back as he crawled on top of me, my hands running through his hair as he pulled me a little closer.
"You know Kaycee is sleeping upstairs, right?" I asked as he rolled his eyes, kissing me again as I moaned, feeling rather embarrassed at the fact.
"Well then, I knew you were gay but I wasn't expecting to walk in on this."
I jumped as me and Caspar tried to quickly untangle ourselves, staring at the newcomer who had simply just walked into Caspar's house uninvited.
There stood Cynthia in all her glory- her black dress and striped leggings giving her a goth Alice in wonderland vibe. She had on a pair of fingerless black gloves and her crow skull necklace rested perfectly on her chest, her dark eyes judging me as I nervously gestured to Caspar.
"Um this is my boyfriend." I said nervously as Cynthia gave me a no-duh look. "So you guys do it yet?" She said nonchalantly as me and Caspar struggled with our words, unused to this bluntness. "No, we haven't." I said awkwardly.
"That's nice, anyways, do you have any food here? I'm starving." She said as Caspar immediately narrowed his eyes at her, scrutinizing her every move as she raised an eyebrow at him, her perfected intimidating stare taking no effect on Caspar.
He walked straight up to her so they were eye-to-eye, his harsh green ones glaring daggers. "You do not steal my food, are we clear? Use your phone and order pizza if you want." He said, still holding Cynthia's glare.
"You seem rather pathetic to me. You tell Gavin your eyes aren't naturally green? And with how much hair dye you look like you go through I wouldn't doubt if you were bald by 30." She said checking her long black nails before looking at him innocently.
