"So you two are really dating, huh?"

I sighed as I turned to face another girl asking about me and Caspar.

I was getting used to these swarm confrontations, all these little groups of girls coming up with their leader doing all the talking. It was like he had fan clubs or something.

"Yes, we're dating." I said sighing, closing my locker and trying to go to my next class but was suddenly pressed against the locker.

The girl of this current swarm of girls seemed to be your punk rock type. She had the ratty band shirt that had seen better days, the black skinny jeans, black high top converse and the signature beanie. And currently she was staring me down against a locker with her hand on my chest.

"And what proof do you have that this isn't some dumb lie that you came up with? How do I know you aren't pulling my leg?" This girl was very intimidating.

"I'm sorry." I said quietly as I tried to push her hand off me but to no avail. I knew it was sad that I was so scared of this high school girl but I was.

"Why are you saying sorry? Were you lying? I'm sure Caspar would be disgusted at you for lying about him liking somebody like you." She said hitting a sore spot that I didn't even know was there.

"Oh yeah? And why do you care whether we're dating or not? I know for a fact that Caspar would never ever date somebody like you if that's what you were after." I said pushing her away from me with all my strength which barely moved her, only making her take a small step back.

"Why you little-" I watched in horror as she raised her fist, prepared to strike but just before she threw the punch Caspar appeared, his hand around her fist.

I wasn't even sure where he had come from but he was here now, and he was pissed.

"I don't take kindly to people insulting my boyfriend." He seethed, his low voice sending chills down my spine as the punk rock girl looked terrified, her small group diminishing and being replaced by a small crowd of onlookers.

"I-I'm sorry." The girl said as he dropped her fist, letting her arm fall to her side as he turned towards me, his smile back as he pulled me close to him, his lips brushing against my ear as he seemed to pause, looking for words. "Sorry I couldn't get here sooner, did she do anything?" He asked quietly while I just stood there for a second.

"Gavin?" Caspar asked me uncertainly as I turned to look at him.

This amazing boy was worried about my safety and had just saved me from a violent teenage girl. He was truly my knight in shining armour and he was my boyfriend. How on earth did I get this lucky?

I basically tackled Caspar in a hug, burying my face in his shirt as I tried to hide my ridiculous smile from people staring as they walked by. I leaned away slightly so we were staring at each other, Caspar looking confused but happy as I hugged him again.

"Why don't we just skip today, say we got sick." He said, making me look up at him, his sky blue eyes pleading with me as I hesitated.

"Come on Gavin, we could go to the park or something, get lunch somewhere nice." He said as I laughed at his childlike eagerness. "Caspar we have a education to get you know. If we want to go to the same college I'm going to have to get as smart as you." I said as he sighed.

"We can do something after school. I promise." I said as he seemed to grow excited again, going on about different places we could go.

"After school Caspar, not right now. I'll see you after classes." I said smiling as he kissed my cheek before I started for my classes. I knew the whole school was blowing up about us dating now and even though I knew we all would eventually get used to it I didn't think I'd ever get used to Caspar doing things like this.
