The song above is the same song I listened to while writing most of this chapter so if you want to listen to it as well you are welcome too. :) it's called Rising, Rising by Crywolf
"Hey, wake up." Someone said softly. I just groaned in response, I was way too tired to be waking up right now, "five more minutes." I said sleepily as I heard someone like Caspar chuckling. Wait... Caspar? Why was I at Caspar's again? I was hardly ever in my own house these days...
I opened my eyes slightly to see the credits of Sixth Sense rolling before closing my eyes again. "Gavin, we probably should do homework." Caspar said from what seemed a lot closer then I'd remembered before I'd fallen asleep.
I opened my eyes a little more and tried turning my head but I soon realized I was sleeping on Caspar's shoulder.
I was wide awake now and quickly sat up on my own, putting some distance between the two of us. "Enjoy your nap?" He laughed as I went cherry red in the face. Oh gosh this was terrible, what if he notices I'm blushing?
"You fell asleep halfway through, you didn't even get to the ending." He said laughing at my flustered state. "What about the ending? Was it good?" I asked as he just rolled his eyes and grinned that Caspar smile of his. "The endings the best part dude and you totally missed it. We're going to have to watch it again later." He said stretching his arms out and yawning.
Did that mean we would do this again? Would I unintentionally end up next to him like that again?
"But seriously though we should probably study. There's a test tomorrow." He said thinking as I slowly became panicked. "I didn't study at all!" I said as he laughed at my reaction but to me this wasn't funny.
"I can help you study, I'm the smartest person in school after all and seeing as you and me are very similar I imagine I can teach you some tricks for tests." He said getting up off the couch. "But what if my mom-" he cut me off "I already texted your mom telling her you'd be staying at my house tonight." He said making me nod mutely.
-----------
75
That was the score I had gotten and it was pretty good for the last second cramming I'd done.
Now at least my parents wouldn't be pissed that I'd skipped so much class this month. It's not like I really wanted to skip class it's just... Okay I have no excuse, but still. It's like we're going to use any of the crap they teach us anyways.
"What did you get?" I asked Caspar as he shrugged. "I did okay." He said and I tried to grab the paper from him. "Come on I wanna know if I scored higher then you." I whined as he rolled his eyes. "Sorry Gavin but I don't think that will ever happen." He said cockily. "Oh yeah? Then tell me your score." I said as we walked towards his jeep.
Recently Caspar had just been driving me to and from school considering we were almost never apart for long. It was better for me since I didn't waste gas money but I couldn't say the same for him. Although his uncle seemed to have money coming out of his ears so I didn't worry all that much.
"92."
"What!? But we barely studied! And all you've really done is throw parties and play video games all week!" I said dumbfounded. We reached his jeep and both climbed in. "Yeah well whatever, tonight's the Halloween dance so are we going or not." Caspar said and I couldn't help but think he was a little snappy today. I wonder if it was because we hadn't slept much last night although we had slept in quite a bit yesterday in the afternoon.
