"That was.... Unexpected!" Said Ashley with a smile on her face. Suddenly she remembered something or should I say someone which took a smile of her face.
"What's wrong?" Asked Dec worryingly. Ashely grabbed her handbag and ran out of the his dressing room.
"Ashely!" Shouted Dec as he followed her. She ran into her dressing room and locked her door.
"Ashely?" Said Dec as he knocked on the door.
"Go away!" She cried. Dec wanted to get to the bottom of this, he would never give up on Ashely!
"I'm sorry about what happened!" Said Dec.
"It's not you its me!" Cried Ashely.
"If you let me in we could talk about it?" Dec said encouragingly.
"Can you just go and not talk to me EVER AGAIN!!" Shouted Ashely. That was it for Dec. His confidence just drained out and he gave up. A tear streamed down his eye. He ran to his changing room and was about to lock the door when he came past Sophia who was playing around with her little purple teddy in her dad's lap she was wearing the gloves obviously. She caught Dec crying, she knew he was in pain but she couldn't feel it.
"Daddy?" Said Sophia.
"What is it love?" Said Ant stroking her hair.
"Can you look after Princess Plum (name of her teddy) because I need bathroom!" Said Sophia.
"Ok love!" Said Ant. He gently took Sophia's purple teddy of her.
"Bye Daddy!" Said Sophia as she walked out of the room. She waited for her dad to turn around so she could walk thin other way so he wouldn't get suspicious. Ant walked over to the table and picked up his phone. That was her chance! She ran left instead of right. She saw Dec run into his dressing room. She ran after him but she was too late. He closed the door. She looked through the keyhole to see Dec crying. She took a clip from her hair and slowly put it in the keyhole. She slowly moved it around and her tongue was slightly poking out of the side of her mouth.
"Yes!" She whispered under her breath. She slowly opened the door and saw Dec sitting on the sofa crying his eyes out.
"How did you get in?" Whispered Dec as he tried to wipe away his tears.
"Why are you cry? that I want to know!" Said Sophia as she sat down next to Dec.
"You're to young to know." Said Dec.
"Has it got something to do with you and a girl?" Said Sophia, questioning him. Dec was shocked by this. How would a four year old girl know about girl and guys stuff.
"How do you know?" Said Dec, looking at Sophia in the eyes. Sophia walked over to his table at grabbed a chocolate-chip cookie.
"I just know stuff and don't let what happened get you down, whatever you go through, even if it's good or bad is just part of life!" Said Sophia with a smile on her face. Dec was in shock when she said this. This is not everyday thing you would hear from a four year old kid.
"By the way, you can't eat a cookie with gloves on. Wait why are you even wearing gloves?" Said Dec.
"Cold hands." Said Sophia uncertain. Dec didn't believe this one bit because she used to hat wearing gloves and its spring. Sophia slowly took of her gloves and eating the cookie sitting next to Dec on the sofa. Soon half an hour passed and Sophia was fast asleep with her head on Dec's lap. She felt comfortable with Dec. She couldn't feel his pain. She could just feel his comfort. Maybe it wasn't just his pain she could feel, maybe she feel his happiness like good feelings but she was to tired to think about it. Ant started to panic because Sophia hadn't returned from the toilet. He decided to ring Dec.
Dec- Hello?
Ant- Dec it's me, I don't know what to do, she said that she went to the toilet but she hasn't returned!!
Dec- She's with me don't worry Ant!
Ant- Thank God!! I thought she went missing!
Dec- that's what parents do! She's with me in me dressing room!
Ant- Thanks Dec, I'll be there quickly.
Dec- Bye Ant
Ant- See ya Decky!
This made Dec feel happy. When Ant called him Decky it was a little nickname that ment thanks. Dec stroked Sophia's hair. Then he realised that Sophia came to him to make sure he was ok. His made him feel loved. Something that hadn't happened for a while. When Ant entered the room he saw a smiling Dec and his daughter asleep sucking her thumb.
"Thanks mate, I owe ya big time!" Whispered Ant as he picked up Sophia from the bed.
"Her gloves?" Said Dec holding them out for him.
"I literally don't know what I'd do with out you mate!" Thanked Ant as he took them from his best friend.
"We'll go to Lisa so she can look after while we practice as we have to go to practice for the show to night!" Said Ant. Dec was quite happy as he walked with Ant holding his sleeping daughter in his hands as they walked to the set. That was until he saw Ashely talking to Alison and some other people like nothing happened. She was having a great time laughing and smiling. Maybe she didn't like her but he just needed to give her sometime.
"Lisa!" Whispered Ant as he found his wife sitting on one of the audience seats. She took her daughter in her arm and Sophia smiled. Ashely looked at Dec and her smile wiped of her face as she reached out for her phone and walked over to the other side to talk to someone. As soon as this happened Sophia woke up and ran down the stairs. It was like her brain was telling her that she could help Dec. She grabbed Dec's arm and pulled him to were Ashely was taking her phone call.
"What are you doing?!" Whispered Dec. She didn't reply. It was like her brain had told her to do something and she couldn't take her mind of it. She looked at him and tapped his ear.
"You want me to listen?" Asked Dec. Sophia nodded.
