"What time is it love?" Asked Lisa as she turned to face her husband in bed.
"It's 9 o'clock!" Moaned Ant sleepily. They both got out of bed and got changed.
"Are you going to go to Sophia's room, or am I?" Asked Lisa.
"I'll go this time!" Said Ant. Sophia is normally up by now playing with her dolls or doing some drawing as she doesn't really like sleeping as it takes her a long time and has a bit of a phobia of the dark. But when Ant got to her room she was still asleep. Her went over to her bed and sat on the ledge of her bed.
"Sophia love, why aren't you awake?" Asked Ant stroking her hair. He slowly took her teddy away from her to see if she would wake up then, and she did. She froze on the spot looking around the room.
"Are you ok?" Asked her father.
"Dec!!" Shouted Sophia as she climbed out of her bed. This made her mum come to her as well. Lisa gently picked up her daughter and tried to calm her down.
"Put me down!" Cried Sophia. She knew that Dec was in trouble, her senses weren't messing with her.
"Shhhhhhh." Lisa whispered as she stroked Sophia's hair.
"Get off me!!" Cried Sophia. She put all her energy into getting out of her mother's hands and she got out eventually. She ran out of the house to the other side of the street where Dec's house was. She didn't care that it was raining or that her feet where hurting her because she was bear foot.
"Sophia!" Shouted Lisa as her and her husband ran out of the house following her, putting their coats and shoes on at light speed. She got to his house not realising that her mum and dad where behind her. She opened to door and ran upstairs to his bedroom.
"Dec!" Screamed Sophia as she got into his room.
"Sophia! Dec's probably asleep, don't wake...." But Ant was cut by the shock. Dec wasn't in his bedroom. In fact, he wasn't in the house at all. Sophia had a meltdown. She started crying and panting for breath. There was no point calling him because his phone was left at home. Sophia started to here noise. She could picture what happened. In fact, she could see it happening. Dec was gone. She walked over to the exact spot where he was suffocated. Her mum and dad just looked at her wondering what the hell she was doing.
"Stephen!" Whispered Sophia.
"What did you say?" Asked Lisa.
"I said it was Stephen! Stephen kidnapped Dec!" Cried Sophia.
"Stop making this up! He's probably gone to the shops or for a walk!" Said Ant.
"I'm not making it up!" Shouted Sophia.
"How would you know?" Asked her mum. That was it. This was the one chance she could tell her parents about feeling Dec's pain and thoughts. That she sometimes sheared Dec's sprit with him.
"I can feel Dec's pain and hear his thoughts." Said Sophia.
"Right! I'm out of here!" Shouted Lisa.
"Oh come on Lisa! She's just a kid!" Said Ant. Lisa just ignored Ant and walked out.
"Dad! I'm not lying!" Said Sophia.
"Sophia listen, sometimes people can think they're right when they're not, no matter how right they think they are!" Said Ant hugging his daughter.
"What if Dec is hurt? Would you believe me?" Asked Sophia with pain in the heart.
"Not really." Said Ant. That was it she was by herself on this.
"Fine!" Sophia said sulking. She knew what this meant. Everything was at stake, Dec's life was in her hands...
