Please tell me its a lie!

Sophia's POV
Let's just say that yesterday was one really crazy day for me! Only one day left until my dad is allowed to come home, which I thought I was looking forward to but maybe I'm not because apparently me having red eyes scare the life out of him, the fact that I don't think he wants to accept the fact that I have a spiritual, soul, feeling pain sort of power. Things have been really awkward between me and everyone else, especially my mum. She won't speak to me or even look at my face. I guess she thinks that I'm some sort of witch now? Dec put me to bed and still talks to me though, it's like he kind of knows how I got the power because he is the only person that knows what I'm going through. I don't know how I got this power but I'm going to find out because I obviously haven't been born with the power, I gained it!
"Mum?" I said. She didn't even look at me. I guess that I'll have to live with being ignored for the rest of my life. I walk over to the living room where Ashely and Dec are sitting and Dec gives me a small smile, which makes me happy! At least he cares about me. I sit on the Sophia Dec to Dec and he grabs me and places me on his lap and carries on watching TV.
"I'm going to go now, to the kitchen, to help out Lisa." Said Ashely, really desperate to get away from me. I honestly felt like crying.
"It's fine, I understand everything you're going through." Said Dec. I haven't heard rubbish like that all day! How could he know what I was going through?
"I think you might want to have this." Said Dec, as he took of a black ring from his hand and placed it into my hand.
"Why?" I asked, getting all confused.
"All I have to say is, I'm sorry and I should have told before about the incident." Said Dec as he walked out of the room. I looked at it and and messed around with it. I put it on my finger and it was a lot bigger so it didn't fit. So why would he want me to have this? Suddenly I picture something.....

"Sophia!" I hear Dec cry, as he ran into his dressing room. The room was lit with fire, fire all around us. I saw myself on the floor laid down panting for breath. Then suddenly something flashes into my eyes and I feel my eyes turn red. Then back to my normal colour which is green. He picked me up into his arms and runs outside with me and places me gently onto a bench. I can see myself slowly waking up with tears in my eyes and he gives me a massive hug and promises me that he'll never let go of me and that he will always except me for who I was.

I was panting for breath. My eyes were red and I was crying silently. I could hardly see anything because the tears my my eyes so blurry but I managed to see a crumpled piece of paper. I wiped away my tears and try to read it. And this is what I said...

Dear Sophia:
This ring was not just any ring, it was my fathers ring. He told me it contained a magic power and for centuries our family have been trying to find out what is was, what type of magic it contained and how to release it. We never found out, not until now anyway. Before my father died, he gave this to me and told me to take good care of it and one day the magic would find its way out. I guess it's now found its way out, I honestly never knew that it would end up being inside you, and I didn't want it to end up instead you either. You're to young to handle the power that I had in it and I'm so sorry about this. You might be stuck with this elemental power of Spirt but look on the good side, you can save people's lives with this! I should have told you before but I thought that this would be the right time to tell you.

I read this out loud and I was so angry, upset and shocked from Dec.
"You think this was the best time to tell me?" I muttered under my breath. I stormed out of the living room and went into the kitchen.
"How come you do things to me!" I yell. I made Ashely jump.
"Do what?" Asked Lisa.
"Not you! I'm talking to Dec!" Shouted Sophia.
"Look, I'm sorry ok!" Said Dec.
"Sorry isn't going to do anything, and you thought this was the best time to tell me the truth!" I cried.
"Tell me what is going on right now Declan!" Shouted Ashely.
"It's nothing!" Said Dec trying to stay calm.
"If it's nothing they why are you having an argument!" Shouted Lisa.
"Tell them Dec! Go on! Tell them that it's all your fault!" I Shouted.
"Is it you fault Dec! Is it your fault that Sophia is like this?" Asked Lisa. Dec stayed quite.
"I'm a monster because of you Dec! I would have rather died in the fire than got this stupid power from that ring of yours!" I yelled.
"You told her about the fire! I told you not to!" Shouted Lisa.
"Dec didn't tell me about the fire! He made me see it!" I shouted.
"I risked my life for you! I walked through fire to save you!" Shouted Dec.
"I found you in time, you where about to be killed by Stephen but I saved you as well!" I said.
"You wouldn't have been able to find me if it wasn't for the fire that made the ring give you the power!" Shouted Dec.
"Burn......" Whispered Ashely. I gave her the death stare.
"My whole life has been a lie! Is there something else I should know that you haven't told me about!" I yell.
"Ye actually!" Shouts my Dec.
"You're adopted!" Yelled my mum. My heart sank......
