3rd Person POV
"Morning love." Yawned Ant, turning around to see Dec peacefully asleep in the other bed.
"Decky?" Asked Ant, tapping him on his back. He didn't react so he decided to get up and wait until he was awake. Ant put his dressing gown on and went down stairs to make breakfast in bed for Dec and a little treat.
"Ant! ANT!" Screamed Dec. Ant quickly got the breakfast together and walked upstairs as soon as he could.
"You ok? Why are you screaming like that?" Replied Ant, starting to think something something was wrong with Dec.
"I thought you left me. I woke up and you weren't in the room." Said Dec. Ant walked over to Dec and handed him his breakfast.
"I tapped you on your shoulder, but you didn't wake up. So I decided to make you a little treat." Said Ant.
"You didn't have to Anth." Said Dec sweetly.
"But I wanted to. Today is a big day, you know that?" Said Ant, sitting next to Dec.
"I know, I could be able to walk from now on, or I could be stuck in this wheelchair chair for the rest of my life." Said Dec.
"You will be able to walk. I feel like today will be a good day." Said Ant, kissing Dec's cheek.
"Good, well I'm going to take a shower now. Might be a bit of a problem like always." Said Dec pointing at his legs.
"You could have a bath, I could help you get in?" Asked Ant.
"That will be a lot of help." Said Dec. Ant help him get out of bed and helped him take his clothes off.
"Don't look at me like that." Said Dec going as red as a tomato.
"Are you shy?" Laughed Ant.
"Well lets pop you in the bath then?" Said Ant as he helped Dec get into it.
"You can come in if you want." Said Dec, still blushing.
"Oh! This will be fun!" Laughed Ant as he got into the bath. They both looked at each other and Ant got a massive handful of bubbles and put them on top of Dec's head and on his face. Ant started to laugh his head off.
"You think that's funny? I'll show you what's funny!" Laughed Dec. He got a hand full of bubbles and started to cover all of Ant's body with them. They started to laugh like little kids but they didn't care. Ant took the bubbles of his face and lent in forward. Their lips connected. Dec put his hands around Ant's neck and Ant slowly started to kiss Dec's neck. After they stopped kissing, they got out of the bath and dried themselves up.
"Told you it would be fun." Said Ant, you still had the giggles.
"It was fun. I'm never going to stop laughing at you cover in bubbles. You looked ridiculous!" Laughed Dec, who was now drying his hair.
"Well that wouldn't have happened if somebody didn't cover me!" Laughed Ant. They dried themselves down and got ready to go to the hospital.
"We're on time." Said Dec, looking down at his watch.
"For once." Said Ant, completing Dec's sentence.
"Hey we're not always late." Complained Dec.
"I'm not, you always are. After everyone is ready, we have to wait around ten minutes for you to come down. You just fart around doing nothing." Said Ant.
"Hey! I'll tell you it for the last time. I don't like waiting for people, that's why I come after everyone is ready." Said Dec.
"I totally believe that." Said Ant sarcastically. They got into their car and drove to the hospital. It was quite a peaceful trip as well. Dec was busy think of how lucky he was to have Ant. He used to be in love with Clare, then he loved Ashely and Melissa. But he never knew he would fall in love with Ant.
"Anth? Do you remember the day that you got shot in the head and I thought you were dead?" Asked Dec.
"Kind of, I don't really remember what happened from the moment I got shot. Everything got a bit blurry but it was hardly anything compared to want happened to you." Said Ant, who started to get a bit emotional.
"All of that could change now. I have an chance to walk again! What happened in the past is something we have to forget." Said Dec. They got to the hospital and Ant and Dec sat down where they were told to wait. A doctor came up to them and said that they were ready for Dec.
"Ant, if you could help Dec get changed, that would be a big help." Said the doctor. Ant agreed with him and took him into a room.
"Anth. I'm really nervous now, what if it doesn't work?" Asked Dec, starting to panic a bit.
"Look Decky, everything will be ok. I promise you." Said Ant, reassuringly. The doctor soon walked in and told Dec to get into the bed. More doctors and nurses entered the room. They put an oxygen mask over his face which gave him anaesthetic They dragged his bed across the corridor. All the way through, Ant held onto Dec's hand.
"Ant. Please tell me that I'll be able to walk again, please Anth." Begged Dec.
"You'll be able to walk again. They know what they are doing, ok?" Said Ant. Dec shut his eyes and fell asleep. Ant let go of Dec's hand as they took him into the operating theatre.
"I hope it goes well." Said Ant as he prepared to wait for a couple of hours.

5 hours later...

"Ant. Where are you?" Asked Dec, who was trying to open his eyes . This made Ant smile to see that he was awake.
"I'm here Dec. I'm right here." Said Ant. Dec started to search for Ant's hand with his own hand.
"Is that your hand? Ant?" Asked Dec, opening his eyes.
"Yes, it's my hand. How do you feel now?" Asked Ant.
"I feel the same. Maybe I'm stuck like this because I can't feel a difference in my legs." Said Dec, getting all upset.
"Don't think of it like that. Maybe it feels the same, but that doesn't mean you can't walk." Said Ant.
"Yes it does Ant! I'm stuck like this forever." Cried Ant.
"No you're not! Look, the doctor told me that you can try to see if you can walk whenever you feel ready to test it out." Said Ant.
"Fine." Said Dec. He took the blanket off him and got out of bed. He slowly tried to move him leg and it moved. His whole face lit up. He move his other leg forward and was just about able to walk to the other side of the room.
"Anth! I can walk! I can move my legs!" Yelled Dec. Ant picked him up and gave him a massive hug and a quick kiss.
"I'm over the moon! You don't know how happy I am!" Cried Ant.
"I can walk! I can walk! Am I dreaming? I think I'm dreaming!" Said Dec. He pinched himself but nothing happened.
"You not dreaming love! Your legs aren't paralysed anymore!" Said Ant.
"We need to celebrate Ant! This is the best news I've heard in ages!" Laughed Dec.
"Ok then. When you're aloud to go home, I'll take you on a date. What do you think about that?" Asked Ant.
"A date? I'd love that Anth!" Said Dec, hugging Ant.
"But first I think we should tell Lisa about today and I kind of need to visit the kids later." Said Ant.
"That's fine! I don't mind." Said Dec.
"I love you." Said Ant.
"I love you too." Replied Dec.
