Letting go

"Why did you do that?" Asked Dec.
"Do what?" Said a grumpy Sophia. She was sick of being told off. She wanted it to be mum, dad and herself in the family. She didn't want to be a big sister what so ever.
"Tell your mum that she shouldn't be having any more kids?" Said Dec.
"Because I don't want her to, that's why!" Said Sophia, walking away from him.
"Hey! Don't walk away from me young lady! Come back here and listen to me!" Shouted Dec.
"Oh no! I'm making you so mad now! I feel so bad and I obviously am going to start listening to you." Said Sophia sarcastically.
"Why are you so complicated? Why can't you just be like every other kid and stop answering back!?" Yelled Dec. Sophia just ignored him and ran upstairs.
"Declan!" Yelled Lisa. I walked back into the living room to see Ant and Lisa really mad with me.
"Yes?" I say, trying to stay cool.
"Her eyes went red! How did she get the power back?" Said Ant.
"I don't know, I didn't realise that she showed it!" Said Dec.
"Fine, I'm just going to let her keep it, just to make her happy." Said Lisa. Ant and Dec looked at her in shock.
"You were the one who want to get rid of her power!" Said Ant.
"Well maybe I've changed my mind! Maybe my daughter wants her power, after all it's always been a part of her." Said Lisa.
"Oh Ok! So you don't care that she almost hurt your stomach?" Said Dec. When he told Sophia that he was fine with her having the power, he lied to her. He agreed with Ant, she couldn't control it, she shouldn't have got it back.
"Yes actually! I think Sophia could be right! Two extra kids is a bad idea!" Said Lisa.
"NO NO NO NO NO! What are you thinking Lisa! Don't tell me that you don't want to get rid of them!" Shouted Ant.
"Give me time to think about it!" Screamed Lisa.
"No! I'm not going to give you time! You decide now wether you keep the twins or not!" Yelled Ant.
"Fine you want me to decide! I'll get rid of the twins then!" Yelled Lisa, losing her temper. Then she thought about what she just said, and she regretted it big time. Ant stood there in horror. How could she do this?!
"Do you actually mean that?" Said Dec, who was quite stunned. Lisa nodded her head, then she realised that she just said she wanted to lose the twins, when she didn't really want to in a way.
"I hate you so much! For once I thought that we would have a great big proper family! But you're just chucking that opportunity out of the window? Why would you do that?!" Yelled Ant, getting all wound up.
"You made me choose, so I did! Blame yourself because you're the one who asked me!" Shouted Lisa.
"I honestly don't know why I even married you!" Yelled Ant. Dec just sat there in silence.
"Here! Take the ring then if you wished you never married me!" Yelled Lisa, as she took of her wedding ring and threw it at Ant. Ant caught it and held it in his hand.
"Guys! Please don't do this to yourselves!" Begged Dec.
"Dec! Get out right now! This has nothing to do with you!" Yelled Ant. Suddenly he felt guilty about what he said to Dec. Dec ran out of the house with tears in his eyes. He was only trying to help. Every single time he tried to do something good or to help, he would get told off so he decided not to help anymore.
"Dec! I'm sorry!" Cried Ant as he ran after his best mate.
"That's right! Go run after your boyfriend!" Yelled Lisa.
"He's not my boyfriend Lisa!" Shouted Ant.
"To be fair, he probably will be after we get divorced!" Shouted Lisa. Ant's heart was was torn to shreds after that last word. He ran out of the house and followed Dec.

Dec's POV
I looked behind me and saw Ant running after me. I didn't stop running, I kept going. I felt so useless, nobody needed me any more. I keep trying to do the right thing but I always end up getting in trouble because of it. Suddenly I was out of breath. I collapsed onto the floor. I couldn't move, I felt so weak and tired.
"Decky!" Shouted Ant as he kneeled over me trying to see if I was ok. But I wasn't ok, I couldn't open my eyes now, I was finding it hard to breathe.
"Dec! Can you hear me?' Cried Ant. I knew he was crying because I could feel drops of water splashing onto my cheeks.
"Dec, Please don't leave me." He says to me. Suddenly the word starts spinning at rapid speed, I feel really ill and dizzy. I have a massive headache and my stomach hurts like hell. I just want everything to stop. Then I have I flashback about the nightmare I had when Ant died. I remember telling him to not leave me. But now it was the opposite way round. I started to feel drops of water splashing on to me. It started to rain heavily. I stared to pant for breath. Then I could feel Ant lifting me up. I tried to let go, I was scared. Scared of everything and everyone now. I managed to get the strength to get up.
"Dec?' Said Ant all confused. I started to run. I heard him calling my name but I carried on running. I turned right and ran up theses massive staircases until a got to the top. I got to the top and I was standing of the edge of the building now. My life went past me.
"Declan man! You can't do this!" Yelled Ant. He grabbed my hand I held me tightly.
"Let go of me Ant! You don't know what I've been through!" I cried.
"Dec, I didn't mean to shout to you! Don't hurt yourself because I shouted at you! I didn't mean to, it was an accident!" Said Ant.
"It's not because of you!" I whispered.
"Then what is! Tell me and I'll help you with it!" Said my best mate.
"Since I started school, I was emotionally and physically bullied every single day! They used to punch my stomach throw me to the ground and spit on me! They called me horrible names and I was mentally broken. When I met you, I thought they would leave me alone. But they didn't, they called me gay and loads of other horrible words. They told me mam that I was gay and she hated me. She chucked me out of the house. Me dad and siblings believed them to and they hated my guts. Those days haunt me, and what I'm going through now is just as bad." I said.
"Dec! You should have told me! I would have beaten them up for you!" Said Ant.
"I was to scared to tell you. I lost all me confidence at that time. I want to speak to someone but I couldn't get the words out because I was that frighted!" I cried.
"Just forget about the past and come home Dec. Come with me, and we'll talk about it ok?" Said Ant.
"No Ant. I'm not going back home. This is the only way to fix my life! I'm broken inside!" I cried. I walked over to the edge and looked down.
"Dec! Don't do this!" Yelled Ant. I back up and moved back slightly. Then I lost control of my feet and slipped. I started to pain, but managed to keep a grip on the side with one hand.
"I want to die Anth. Just leave me to die." I cried.
"Declan!" Cried Ant as he ran up to me.
"I can't.. Hold on.. My fingers are slipping." I say, with pain in my heart.
"Hold on Dec! Hold my hand." Said Ant.
"I love you so much." I cried as I let go....
