Day One

Night - Car Park

Dr. Oliver Mitchell was walking to his car.

A warlock named Gavin was there. "Excuse me, are you Dr. Mitchell? Dr. Oliver Mitchell?"

"Yes," Oliver answered.

Gavin nodded. "What a pleasure. I can't tell you how long I've waited for this."

Oliver frowned in confusion. "Excuse me, but have we--"

"Met?" Gavin finished. "I'm sorry, only in print. I've read your work. Your studies, specifically on cell degeneration, are ahead of their time."

"You're very kind," Oliver told him.

"No, really," Gavin insisted. "It's fascinating. You've become kind of a hobby of mine. I found your article on the mutant retina gene to be particularly intriguing."

"But I haven't even--" Oliver started.

"Published it yet?" Gavin finished. "Don't worry, you will. And you'll help to find the vaccine."

"The vaccine?" Oliver repeated. "Against what?"

"Against this," Gavin answered.

A laser beam came out of Gavin's forehead, burning a hole into Oliver's forehead.

Movie Theater - Outside

The five sisters were waiting in line to a movie theater.

Parker was holding a magic 8 ball, reading it. "'Ask again later.' Hello, vague. How am I supposed to plan my future without a little direction?"

"Ooh, why don't we ask if Prue and Andy will get back together?" Phoebe asked.

"Oh, Parker, please don't," Prue told her.

Parker shook up the 8 ball, looking at the answer. "Ooh... interesting."

Poppy looked at the answer. "Very."

Piper and Phoebe smiled.

Piper's pager beeped.

Prue tried to look at what the 8 ball said.

Parker shook it up before she could see it.

"You are cruel," Prue told her.

Parker smiled.

"I forget what a day off feels like," Piper told them. "That was my boss, Martin. I have to get back to the restaurant."

"You're kidding," Poppy told her.

"There's a convention in town and business is just crazy," Piper told them.

"But you worked a double shift yesterday and the day before that," Parker told her. "He's working you to death, Piper."

"I thought that you were gonna talk to Martin about this weeks ago," Prue told her.

"I never got around to it," Piper told them, taking out her cellphone, making a call.

"Well, tell him to stuff it," Parker told her. "Tell him you're taking the night off, and that's that."
