Day One

Night - Occult Shop

The time was 11:55.

Parker and Poppy were shopping.

Parker was wearing a Native American hat that had feathers and beads. She was wearing a large red beads.

Poppy was picking out a necklace with a good luck charm.

The owner, Tanjella, was standing behind the counter. "Excuse me, but I'm getting ready to close now."

"Oh, I'm sorry," Poppy told her. "I thought that you were open until 1:00."

"Normally I am, but not on the eve of Friday the 13th," Tanjella told them. "In fact, I kinda wanna be closed by midnight."

"All right, well, we won't be much longer will we, Parker?" Poppy asked.

Parker walked closer. "No, Poppy, we won't. Just give me your input. What do you think?"

"Those are ancient artifacts," Poppy told her.

"Whatever," Parker told her. "What are you getting?"

Poppy held up the necklace. "Lucky charm. Come on."

They walked up to the counter.

Parker took off the hat and the beads off, placing them on the counter.

Poppy placed the necklace onto the counter.

"Okay, you want me to put this on your sister's order?" Tanjella asked.

"Yeah," Poppy answered.

"Well, your sister won't be so irritated with you two using her tab again, because you get 10% if you sign the mailing list," Tanjella told them.

Poppy picked up her necklace and a pen, looking at Parker, smiling. "See? Good luck already." She looked at the list. "Hey, Parker, Lucia's name is on here."

Parker had to look for herself. "Really? Lucia?"

"Yes," Tanjella answered. "Lucia Alizon was one of my best customers. Go ahead and sign."

Poppy wrote down her name.

Poppy Halliwell

Tanjella put the hat and the beads into a large bag. "If you're interested, we're having a wicca gathering for the Summer Equinox."

Tanjella handed them the flyer with the address.

"What makes you think that we would be interested?" Parker asked.

"Most witches are," Tanjella told them.

Poppy and Parker exchanged a look, looking at Tanjella.

"We never said that we were witches," Parker told her.

Tanjella turned to get the receipt.

Poppy and Parker looked at each other, whispering.

"You think she knows?" Poppy asked.

Parker shook her head. "How could she?"

Tanjella turned back, with the bag.

Parker took it, putting the flyer into it.
