Business was slow. Like usual. Everytime someone passed the shop with a cup of coffee NOT from them, a little bit of pain struck through the hearts of the owners of Toriel's.

Famous for their expressos, Toriel's was the best, and only coffee shop in town for a very long time. Run by Toriel, her 3 kids, her new husband Sans, and Sans little brother, Toriel's was a charming little place. If you didn't mind the bad puns, of course.

All was swell for a while, up until Blook Family Drinks moved in down the street. All of sudden, Toriel's was old and forgotten. Everyone, yes, everyone was going to Blooks now. They were cool and hip and the barista was pretty hot, so they achieved sudden popularity.

One rainy Saturday, Sans younger brother Papyrus, and the only one really enthusiastic about this shop anymore, was tending the almost empty place. Toriel's kids, Chara, Frisk and Asriel, sat in the corner their heads together and whispering. Papyrus whistled a little tune, until he heard yelling from the room behind him.

"I just don't get it!" He could faintly hear Toriel yelling. "What do they have we don't?"

"Obviously, their chill." Sans replied, semi-calmly.

"Please, Sans! Be serious! We might have to close down the shop!"

They were silent for a moment, and the kids in the corner lifted their heads to listen as well.

"Tori, babe-" Sans started.

"Don't 'Tori' me, Sans." Her voice got dangerously soft, though still loud enough to hear.

"Why don't we see what they have, that we don't, okay?" He replied with an air of controlled calm.

"Fine." Came her equally strained reply.

The door behind Papyrus burst open and Sans shuffled out. His hands were in his pockets and his green eyes were uncharacteristically tired. His curly brown hair, the same as Papyrus's was messy like usual.

"Hey Paps." He flashed his trademark grin. "Tori....el and I were hoping you could do us a favor."

Toriel marched out of the back-room and over to the kids, saying something obviously disappointing to them, because they packed up their crayons and paper and went upstairs.

"Yes, brother?" Papyrus said, eager for something to do.

"Could you head down to Blooks Family Drinks and check em out and all? See why people like and stuff?" Sans replied.

Papyrus smiled. "Of course! The Great Papyrus is happy to serve his shop!" He immediately began hanging up his apron.

"Great, thanks bro. Be back before dinner, okay? Toriel is cooking up meatloaf.

"EWWW!" The eldest child, Chara screamed from upstairs.

Papyrus just chuckled. "Sure thing!" He slipped on his coat and scarf and and prepared to breach the heavy rain outside.
