Last update until next weekend! Stay determined, my lovely readers! ;)

Papyrus had been in Mettaton's room a few times before. Though he didn't mention it, he was a little envious of how nice it was. The window had a lovely view and the bed was comfy. Nothing like the bare children's room Papyrus slept in. Yet another difference between them caused by money.

Mettaton muttered something under his breath and pulled the blanket tight around himself, for some unknown reason, so Papyrus couldn't see what he was wearing. He sat down on the bed and patted for him to sit down. "I assume Sans told you his half of the story? How we met, sort of liked each other, and then I 'left'?" Mettaton made finger quotes to emphasize.

"Sort of  liked each other? He made it sound like you guys were good friends!"

"I meant the other way, Papyrus."

Papyrus frowned, then suddenly understood. "Oh--oh! O....kay."

Mettaton looked away sheepishly. "I want to start off by saying, I never left him. You heard me tell you a while ago, I was kicked out! Too bad he never listened to me try to tell him."

"Right, kicked out because...your parents were grieving?"

Mettaton sighed and pulled the blanket tighter around himself. "Correct. Sans and I--well....I did sort of like him that way, but I was afraid."

Papyrus blinked. "Afraid of what?"

Mettaton looked away, out the window to the street below. It was now or never, now or never, now or never......

His cowardly side kicked in and he chose never.

"Th-That...he would get tired of me. I admit, I did unfairly drop him, b-but...I was afraid he would drop me first."

"Oh Mettaton," Papyrus instinctively hugged him, although they were talking past loves and it wasn't really appropriate for the moment.

Mettaton wrapped his arms around Papyrus, and in their quiet hug, his blanket dropped. Papyrus rubbed his back gently and said. "Just so you know, I would never drop you. You're too pretty and nice for that."

Mettaton giggled. "Thank you Papy, I didn't think you ever would."

"Sans is still awfully upset about it-"

"Uh....Mettaton?" Napstablook said from the doorway. "I did get you ice cream, if you still want it..."

Papyrus and Mettaton both stood up at the same time. "Yes of course!"

They padded out back into the living/dining room of the apartment as Napstablook started to open up the container.

"So what did you guys talk about in there?" Blooky asked curiously,  getting out a spoon.

"Oh just personal problems, that are..." Mettaton looked up at Papyrus. "Resolved, hopefully?"

Papyrus laughed a little. "There weren't many problems to begin with, Metta. I just wanted to know why you lied to me about knowing Sans."

Napstablook gently slid a bowl of ice cream over to Mettaton and he shifted on his feet. "Old past stuff I didn't feel like resurfacing, I suppose."

Papyrus received a bowl as well and he started eating. "Well you can trust me with anything, you know. Especially since we're boyfriends now-" He said through a mouthful.

Mettaton froze, then looked up with a small smile. "W-We are?"

"Yeah, aren't we..? We've been hanging out for a few weeks now, and uh, kissing, I thought we'd be o-ffici-ally a couple!"
Mettaton looked back down at his ice cream and his smile grew wider. "Then we are!" He was tempted to kiss him, but not in front of Napstablook. He settled for a flirty smile instead.

"Well as a confirmed couple, I suggest we go out and do something, since lunch got a little ruined. Maybe a movie?" Papyrus beamed.

Mettaton turned to him fully, and opened his mouth to happily reply yes, until he noticed Papyrus's eyes drifting downwards.....to his chest. His chest clad in only a tank top and nothing else.

"Mettaton..?" He said very abruptly. "Why do you have boobs?!"
