Chapter 42

Daniel's P.O.V

I run towards Alex catching her before she could hit the hard floor.

Blood was pouring out of the back of her head I tried stopping the bleeding by removing my coat and pressing it over her wound.

I tried to stop the blood from the back her head with one hand while I tried using the other one to call for an ambulance.

After calling the ambulance I use both hands to stop the bleeding.

"Come on Alex. Help is on its way. " I said "Hold on a bit much longer."

After about 5 minutes of waiting the medics finally came.

They check on Alex and put her on a stretcher before taking her to the hospital with me by her side.

When we had arrived to the hospital the Doctors hurried to take her to the ER to save her.

When they went in they let me stay outside of the operation to wait for the result.

While waiting I called Emily.

Emily had arrived within 25 minutes.

"Daniel what happened?" Emily asked

I told her everything, after I finished Emily was crying.

"Oh my God! Alex. Please be Ok." She said through her sobs.

I hugged her to comfort her.

After hours of waiting the doctor finally had come out.

Me and Emily stood up and walked towards him.

"There's good news and bad news." The doctor said "Which one do you want to hear first?"

"Good news." Emily and I said

"Well the good news is that she made it." The doctor said

I and Emily sigh in relief.

"Then what's the bad news?" I ask

"The bad news is that, she's in a coma for the bullet had fragmented her skull and hit some of her brain but we managed to remove it but the trauma has made her fell into a coma. " The doctor said

"When will she wake up?" Emily asked

"We don't know. It can be days, weeks, months or even a year." The doctor said

I stood shock and fell back to my seat.

I was on Alex's bedside holding her hand.

Emily had gone back to the school and had informed the teacher everything after she had called and informed the police of the incident.

Alex please wake up soon, I love you. I thought while stroking her cheeks with my other hand.

I had not left Alex ever since the day of the incident.

Emily has been telling me to go home or at least go and grab something to eat since I have not eaten for days.

Emily walked through the doors carrying a basket full of fruits.

"Daniel I brought some fruits." She said holding up the basket "You should something. Alex wouldn't want to see you like this."

I sigh before nodding and she hand me an apple.

"I'm going to grab something to eat for you." She said

"Thanks." I said while eating the apple.

Emily returned with a plastic bag

She gave it to me and I opened it to see burgers inside.

I started eating it while Emily went to the bathroom to wash the knife to cut the apples.

She returned and started to peel the apples and slice them.

She hand them to me and I had finished my burger.

After that she left and said she's going to bring some food for me next time and call her if Alex wakes up.
