Chapter 35

Alex P.O.V

When I woke up and did my normal routine before heading to school.

While on the way there I met up with Daniel.

I was about to walk the other way around, but before I get to do it I heard Daniel call for me.

I turned around and faced Daniel while smiling.

"Hey Alex. Where are you going?" Daniel said

"Hello Daniel." I said while thinking of an excuse.

"So where were you going?" Daniel ask

I thought of an excuse telling him that I had forgotten something back home.

I decided on using it.

"Oh I forgot something and I was going back to get it." I said but I felt guilty after the words left my mouth.

I hate lying to Daniel.

"Oh well I'm coming with you then." Daniel said

"No. Why don't you go on ahead?" I said pleading in my mind that he would just go.

Please Daniel just go on ahead. I thought

"You sure? You want me to go on ahead?" Daniel ask

"Yeah. I can handle myself." I said

"OK then." Daniel said unsure before going on ahead to school.

I sigh out in relief when he was out of sight.

I stayed their for awhile, before walking to school slowly with my head down feeling guilty and felt like I have betrayed Daniel by not telling him or even trusting him by my problem.

But then I thought to myself that I'm doing the right thing by protecting them, after all it said in the message that once I told any of them specially Daniel they would hurt Emily. 

I walked to school a little faster with that in my mind.

When I got to school, and head straight to class.

When I got into the classroom I saw Emily, when she saw me she smiled and wave at me.

I wave back and went to take a seat which is the seat next to Emily, when I get there she greeted me a good morning and I did the same.

We talked for awhile and Emily was going to ask me what I had done yesterday when the bell had rang signaling class was starting.

When the bell had rang signaling lunch break.

Me and Emily started heading out of the classroom, while going there we notice Daniel waiting.

"Hey Daniel. Who are you waiting for ?" I ask

"I'm waiting for you guys. So we can have lunch together." Daniel said

"Oh. Let's go then." I said

When we got there I got in line and was looking around my surrounding.

"Alex what are you going to have for lunch?" Emily ask

"Oh. I don't know yet." I said looking at the menu for today's lunch.

Daniels P.O.V

Alex has been acting weird today.

I look at Emily and she also look at me, confusion was also written on her face.

I went near her and whispered something to her ear.

"Don't you think Alex's been acting strange today?" I whispered ask

"Yeah. Did you do something?" She whispered ask a little hard.

"I didn't do anything." I whispered back "Look she's looking for something."

We both look at her and was curious on what or who she is looking for.

Emily then thought of trying to see if she can get Alex's attention by asking her if she had decided on what she would get for lunch.

"Oh. I don't know yet. " Alex said while looking at the menu on what's there for lunch.

Alex P.O.V

While I was looking at the menu to order lunch when suddenly my phone rang.

I grab my phone and saw that there was a message from an unknown number.

I pretend that I had to go to the bathroom.

I went to the restroom and went into one of the cubicle and opened the message.

Unknown number: Don't even think about looking for us. Don't forget that we're watching your every move. Don't forget what will be the consequences if you ever tell anyone.

I was angry at why this people would even do this for an unknown reason. And why should I stay away from Daniel. 

But if it means keeping Emily and others safety I have to.
