Chapter 18

Daniel P.O.V

I was walking my way to the cafeteria.

When I got to the door I almost bump into Alex and Emily.

"Hello Alex. Hello Emily." I said

"Hello Daniel." Emily said

I looked at Alex wondering why she didn't say anything.

Emily nudges her at the side and that's when she realized I said something.

"Sorry. What were you saying?" She said

"I said Hello Alex." I said

"Hello Daniel." She said

"How's your day going?" I asked

"It's going just fine. Right Emily?" She said

"Yeah it's going just fine." Emily said

"So want to eat lunch to-"I was cut off by Alex.

"Em let's go and grab our lunch." She said

"Sure. Let's go" Emily said "See you later Daniel."

"Yeah. See you." I said

Both Emily and Alex start walking off to go and grab their lunch.

I walked in and heard Isabel calling me from one of the table.

I walked over to her and greeted her.

"Hello Isabel. How was practice?" I said

"It was fine. How was your day?" She asked

"Ok."

"Ok that's all? Daniel for real what's wrong?" She asked worry in her tone of voice.

"Nothing's wrong. What makes you say that?" I lied

"Nothing I'm just worried."

"There's nothing to be worried about. Plus you should be worried of your own competition." I said

"You're right. I worry too much."

"Yep After all your competition is in two weeks."

"Yeah, it's kind of nerve racking."

"There's no need to be nervous you're going to be great."

"Thanks Daniel."

"You're welcome."

"Let's eat."

I nodded my head and we start eating.

While eating I kept on thinking why is Alex acting like that towards me? It's like she's trying to stay away from me.

I was walking my way to Alex's class.

When I got there I saw Emily there packing her stuff.

I looked around to see if Alex was still here but she wasn't here.

I walked over to Emily and see tilt her head to looked at me.

"Where's Alex?" I asked

"She already went home. Why you asked?" She said

"Oh it just that I thought we can walk together." I said

"Well sorry. You just missed her. Oh and Daniel do me a favor." She said

"What kind of favor?" I asked

"You promise to do it?" She said

"As long as I can do it, I would."

"Oh you can do it. It's just easy."

"Ok. I promised." I said "So what do you want me to do?"

"Leave my friend alone. That's what I want you to do."

I was shocked at what I heard.

"But... why?" I asked shocked in my tone of voice.

"Because you've hurt her too much, I can't stand seeing my friend get hurt every time."

"Looked I'm sorry but I can't do that. She's my..." I pause to think

"She's your what? Friend." She said

"Yeah she's my friend. So why should I leave her alone." I said almost yelling at her.

"Like I said before you've hurt her too much. If you really are her friend then let her be happy not hurt her."

"Ok. I'll leave her alone." I said "But I want to know the truth on where I've have hurt her."

"What you mean?" She asked confuse

"Did I hurt her emotions or her trust?"

"You hurt her emotions. Her feelings towards you."

"What you mean her feelings toward me?" I asked now confused

"Are you stupid Daniel? How can you not see that she liked you ever since you bump into each other?"

My eyes widen from the information about Alex feeling the same way as I feel about her.

"You didn't know did you? It was already too obvious. How can you not know?"

"I really didn't know." I said still shocked from the information I heard.

"Anyway I'm leaving. And make sure to keep your promise Daniel. Because if you don't I swear to god if you hurt her once more you will never see her again."

I walked home and sleep I didn't care about changing or eating dinner at all I was to bump about myself not knowing that I have hurt the girl I love by just doing what I thought was right.
