The University Hall was swarming with people. I was so overwhelmed that I stood still and just looked at everyone and everything. The hall was grand, with polished wooden floors and stone walls. The students are all around my age even older, some look only 15 where others look to be 30.

A couple of boys ran past Me, startled I step back, tripping over someone and falling into the hard body of someone behind me. "Can I help you?" a deep voice asked. I jump and turn around to a young man who looked around the same age as me. He had the classic player look; blonde hair, blue eyes, well built body and muscles that scream through his shirt.

"Sorry" I mumble as I shrugged his hand off my shoulder.

"You're new too." he said more of a statement not a question.

"yeah." I replied trying to communicate as little with him as possible. I knew boys like him, and I don't want anything to do with them. All they do is serial date girls for fun and then boast about how many times they 'hit home base.'

"I like your hair, is it naturally like that?" he asked politely, staring at my ruby red hair that fell to my waist. I stare at him surprised at his comment. what an odd thing for him to say, usually players say things like 'nice ass,' 'hey chickie' or 'hey, how you doin' not I like your hair. I didn't know what to reply, so I just blinked at him as if he were a new species of human.

He coughed awkwardly.

"I'm sorry, I'm kal." he said extending a hand out. I looked at it for a short moment debating.

"Jessica." I answered.

"Well Jessica it's nice to meet you." he said as he shook my hand firmly.

"So um. do you know what classes you're going to take?" he said changing the subject. As he scratched the back of his head.

"Uhhh, yeah I think."

"Cool well, I think I will take legal research, financial law, family law, and advanced criminal clinic." he replied.

"Wait you're a law student?" I say surprised

"Yeah, why?"

"I just wasn't expecting that." I mumble under my breath but loud enough for him to catch the words

"Ah right." he replied.

After a long pause I look up to apologies for accusing him but he was nowhere to be seen.

I shrugged it off and made my way over to the class board. To pick my subjects.
