"Hey where were you? I have been calling you all day!" Taylah's voice echoes through our small apartment as soon as I walk in.
"Um...." I look around expecting Kilorn to be walking behind me, but is surprised when I notice no one is there except a small black cat walking in lazily.
'Right'
Taylah looks at me worried with her hands plastered to her hips.
"You took the cat too!?" She said confusement and curiosity working it's way through her features.
"Ah, yeah. I went..... walking" I say
"With the cat?"
"Yeah."
"Jess you never go walking."
"I wanted to get a milkshake and there was this cat caffe down the street so I came back and brought Kilorn with me." I say as I nod in approval for such a great excuse.
Guilt washed over me and rested in my stomach. This was the first time that I have lied to my best friend and I have a feeling this won't be the last.
"Fine then. I have an appointment in 20 so I will leave you to it." She said as she picked up her purse and made her way out.
"Ok, good luck."
She walks out the door giving me one last glance before descending down the hall way.
'That was close.' Kilorn's said. His voice filling my mind.
"Yeah." I huff as I walk to the couch and lay down.
'What now?' He asks as he jumps onto my lap.
"I don't know."
Then it hit me."Huh!" I huff, thinking to my self.
'What is it?' The cat looked at me with an unreadable expression.
"Oh it was just something that Aisha said; 'maybe my mum new something that I didn't and that's why she kept me in the dark for so long.'" I say staring at the ceiling.
"Well let's ask." Kilorn's voice seems distant and different, when I look up to see where he is. I screech as once again he has shifted with out me knowing, and is once again standing there naked.
I look away as he rolls his eyes and disappears. Soon after reappearing with a short sleeve shirt and plane jeans.
"Well are you coming?" He asked with out glancing at me.
"Are you kidding me, I have had such a big day. Can't we wait until-" I was cut off as Kilorn picked me up, swung me over his shoulder and walked out the door.
Great

Walking on the streets was weird with Kilorn by my side. He let off this vibe of 'don't touch me.' Yet every girl and even some of the men seem to want to come near him.
He wore sunnies to hide his inhuman eyes but still he looked inhumanly handsome. We walked along the streets towards my mother's house. I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable because every head was turned to look at Kilorn and the girl beside him, though he didn't seem to notice.
Even on the train everyone sitting near us stared at him. I even saw one girl drooling."Why are you so tense?" He asked blankly.
"I'm cold." I snapped remembering he gave me now time to find a coat or jacket before we left. Today wasn't one of those freezing days, but with the cold breeze and the people staring I found myself shivering.
