As I walk into the strange house I can't help but to stare at the odd way it's set up. There was a narrow hall from the front door to the back of the house, a steep staircase works its way up to the second story of the house.

We walk through the long corridor past many closed doors, a small chandelier hangs in the corridor tinging everything a warm yellow. photo's of people from all periods of time hang from the walls. I stop when I notice a man in a blue waistcoat stands in one of the photos is the same man from an old painting, the thing that intrigues me is that the date of the painting is over two hundred years ago where the photo is only a few.

Kilorn sees my lagging behind and grabs on to my shoulders pushing my forward.

"Its best if you don't get lost in here." his warning was hushed and careful, and just as I was going to ask why a strange hunched figure as big as an infant child walked out of one of the rooms. The creature seemed so old as its skin was wrinkled and its body warn out, Its ears are long and pointed and its nose large and sharp.

"It's a house goblin. kind of like a butler." Kilorn answers my silent question in a whisper.

"Do not be intimidated by my friend, he is one of the oldest warlocks on earth so let's just say he's a bit old fashioned." he continued.

The Goblin paid no attention to us and walks past as we turn into a brightly lit room. Taking in my surroundings I gasp silently at the beautiful crystals dangling from every inch of the roof, glowing a bright light and illuminating the strange room.

"Kilorn!" A new voice boomed.

A man stood in the middle of the room. He was handsome but not stunning, with black hair that is tinged blue at the ends and bright blue eyes that could relate to Kilorns feline eyes. He wore a silver and black waistcoat with a dark blue under shirt. He was the man from the painting.

"Oh. My old friend, what brings you to my sanctuary." he said his voice deep and throaty.

"I need your wisdom to help the mortal I was assigned to guard." Kilorn smiled as he shook the Warlock's hand. It's only now that I see his ears are pointed like the house Goblins.

"Of course, of course. Aisha will you please put some tea on for my guest." he says with smile that showed his long canines. overwhelmed was the only way I could explain how I feel.

"Yes, Zedar." she said bluntly as she walked behind a bead curtain.

"How have you been keeping my friend." for a moment I thought that he was talking to me but the questioned was directed to Kilorn. It's almost as if he hasn't noticed me yet.

"Fine thank you. This is jessica the woman I gaurd." he said turning to me.

For a long moment Zedar studies me before smiling and coming to shake my hand. I stuttered a short hi as we shook hands.

"Welcome child." he grins as he ushers me to a seat.

"Now tell me, what is it you wish to know?" he said as he got comfortable on his chair.

"Jessica attracts many creatures of the moon, I have been assigned to guard her ever since birth and never told why. There is something special about her and I'm curios as to what it is." Kilorn blurts out still standing behind my seat.

Zedar's smile dropped and his face change to a serious expression.

"How so?" he asked as Aisha walked in with a tray of tea and biscuits.

"Well she is nothing but innocent yet all the creatures of the moon seem so attracted to her, it makes no sense." I could feel Kilorn's grip on my chair tighten.

"Hmm." Zedar replied with an absent minded face as he poured a purple tea into each cup.

"Tell me; when was your birthday." he said looking straight at me.

"7th of the 7th 1997" Kilorn and I say at the same time. At that Zedar froze his cup rattling in its saucer.

"My, my." He says his blue eyes seemed excited, sad and in disbelief.

"What? What is it?" Kilorn asked

"My dear, you are a very important piece to a very big puzzle. One not even I can put together" he said his eyes never leaving mine.

"Wh-what do you mean." I say trying to control my fear.

"Answer me this. do you believe in soul mates." he asked in pure curiosity.

"No, why? should I?"

"Interesting." he replies, Kilorn and I exchange worried glances as the Warlock scratches his chin.

"Nine years ago a young boy with similar issues to you come to me with his guardian, His birth date the 7th of the 7th 1997. He was born at exactly seven O'clock in the morning, and so was his other half. You my dear, are his other half. The sun to his moon, The ying to his yang. He is darkness and you are light."

"What this means I don't know but you must keep that balance between light and dark together." Zedar says. I look to Kilorn who is tense and rigid his expression unreadable.

"What do I do?" ask turning to Zedar.

"That, you must work out."
