I once again woke up to the city life seeping through my window and the sun stroking my face. The not in my stomach was still there. I rolled over onto my back and stared at the ceiling, thinking about last night. I felt bad for abandoning my mum like that, but I knew that what she did was wrong.

I look down beside me to the small weight on my bed and smile. A black cat with shimmering fur lay curled up beside me sleeping soundlessly. I pat Kilorn thinking to myself.

"Over protective, supernatural friends are the best." I whisper to myself.

The cat purred under my hand and squirmed awake.

"Morning." I say smiling at the sleepy cat.

His features went from sleepy to shocked and slightly embarrassed. He must have accidentally fallen asleep while guarding me.

He jumps off my bed and looks me up and down waiting for me to follow. with a groan I follow the strange cat into the kitchen.

'what now?' he asked.

"um, i'm not sure." I reply poring cat food into a small bowl.

'well we could go back to Zedar, and tell him about your mum. Or we can try to find this mysterious other half.' He listed many options, but my mind is occupied by living a normal life.

I place the bowl of food in front of the cat. Only to be thanked with a confused stare.

'what's this?' he asked.

"cat food, its what normal cats eat." I reply as I turn to get my breakfast.

'As much as these little balls of dried remains looks absolutely delicious.... I think I'll pass.' he replied pushing the bowl away with a paw.

I can't help to laugh at his sassy act.

"I need to go to university tomorrow so I don't want to do anything that will be too exhausting." I say

'What about going to Zedar.' Kilorn says, his voice happy.

"No. How about a nice peaceful day at the library, studying?"

'I know a place with all of the books that hold history of the moon children and the sun children. Im sure that will have something.' He rings out.

"sure." I reply.

The cat Happily stalks away. I hear a gush of wind, soon after his Human form strides in as if nothing happened.

After breakfast I go to my room to get dressed and ready for another big adventure. I wear one my favourite shirts and a good pair of jeans with suitable converse. Just when I finish I hear a loud bang in the kitchen and a muffled shout.

Not knowing what's happening I run to the door and peer out into the hallway.

Nothing out of the ordinary. The appartment was deadly silent and I couldn't help but to shiver at the sudden coldness. Something was off.

I walk towards the lounge room, nothing was there. Silently, I creep over to the kitchen. My heart hammered in my chest and my breath was short. When I peer around the bench expecting the worst I'm shocked to find nothing except a turned over bowl of catnip.

"Kilorn?" I yell quietly, but get no response. There's no need to yell again because I can't even feel his presence.

I turn around about to head to the front door but i'm stopped by a gush of wind and hot hands grabbing my waist from behind. All the air knocks out of me as I teleport with a new figure.

***

My surrounding change dramatically, From my small homey apartment to a cold spacious room. The hands that were once holding me up through the teleport are now throwing me violently to the ground. I shriek as the cold marble floor hit me.

"Don't move." A harmonious yet bitter voice commanded. It was a female's voice.

I stay still looking at the ground waiting for something. Footsteps sound around me as hands grip my hair and pull me up. I yell out as pain runs through my scalp.

When my eyes open I come face to face with the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Her hair was blonde and as silky as a spider's web, Her skin was cold and hard like marble, and her eyes are clear blue like ice. She was Inhumanly beautiful, like Kilorn.

"This is the girl?" A new voice said braking me free of the trance the woman pulled me under.

I look over the woman's shoulder to see a young man with dark brown hair verging on black and stormy grey eyes. He looked delicate yet hateful and cruel. He some what seemed tormented, As if he was battling against his own feelings.

"Yes i'm sure of it. She looks like a mirror image of her, this must be her." The woman repled as she let go of my hair and stood next to the man.

I take in my surrounding. Unlike my small apartment this place was huge. It had marble floors with roof to ceiling windows outlining the room and modern furniture, complete with lush couches and metal tables. Outside the windows I can see city life swarming through the night. We were in a massive penthouse on top of a tall building in a huge city.

My stomach starts to churn when I realize how far away we must be from my home.

The man descended towards me, I try to scramble away but I seem paralyzed. He crouched down and looked me over with those menacing stormy grey eyes.

Then it clicked, He was the same man that I ran into on my way to mum's house.

I can't help to stare into his eyes, They seem to betray his facial expression. Something flickered in those storms of his. A glint of rebellion or maybe appreciation. Just as quick as the flicker appeared it left, leaving me looking into emotionless gray pits and a cold, hard face.

"Put her in the safe, and I will deal with her later." he said walking away.

The woman looked at me with a milloucous hunger. In a blink of an eye she seized me and threw me into a small dark room. I look back at her snickering form, standing in the doorway.

As soon she turns around I make a break for it running as fast as I can to the door. Before I knew it a giant gust of wind hit me, it flipped me back as if I were made of feathers. I hit the wall as a sickening smack and crack echoed through the small room. Hot pain worked its way through my back as I slid down to the ground.

I was violently shaking. Not through coldness but through pain, anger and fear. A cold laugh bellowed through the room as the door shut, leaving me curled up against cold cement in darkness.
