Mackenzie's POV

Dear Mackenzie,

So sorry! I called your name that we had to leave for the studio but you didn't hear me. This is a very important week for Maddie since Abby called ahead of time and said she is doing a solo, trio, and group dance. Your step-father will be home at 8, and he can drive you to dance. Sorry again, sweet daughter!

XOXO -Mom and Madz

UGH! Why does Maddie always get special treatment! My plan backfired again! I mean really? Abby called ahead of time? That makes so much sense now! Last week JoJo saw Maddie practicing the group dance choreography before we had even learned it yet! Why didn't I get the choreography ahead of time, I need the head start more than Madz! I thought. Okay, Kenz, think positive! Hey at least Abby's not yelling at me now, pushing me to pull my scorpion higher! I thought. I grabbed my favorite snack, graham crackers out of the pantry and sat on the couch. I clicked on the TV and began to munch. I went to Disney Channel, and Austin and Ally was on. Yay! One of my favorites! UGHHHHHH! I groaned. This just happened to be the very episode in which Maddie guest starred on.

I heard the garage door open and I gathered my dance bag, heading out the door to my stepdad's car

I heard the garage door open and I gathered my dance bag, heading out the door to my stepdad's car.

"Hustle Mackenzie!" He yelled.

"I'm sorry Greg..... I mean, Dad." I said softly. You could always sense the tension between us, since I still had a lot of anger about the divorce. To be honest, Dad is so much nicer than Greg. I never feel like Greg cares about me.

Greg/Ziegler Girls' Stepdad's POV

That girl is always late. She's always got somewhere to be, but she's never ready. "Hustle Mackenzie!" I yelled. I realized I sounded harsh, but didn't care today. What can I say. It was a rough day at work and my biggest pet peeve is a person who dilly dallies. I love Melissa, but sometimes the girls drive me nuts...especially Mackenzie.

Mackenzie's POV

I sat in silence all the way to the studio. I thought sarcastically,

"Can't wait for pyramid."
