Nia's POV
"Dang it! I dropped the sweatshirt!" I muttered disappointedly.
"It's okay" Brookey consoles. At least we did what we came for." She said with a smirk.
"Yeah. James is destined to be mine! And little Kenzie sure won't be the one to take him from me. Brooke, I have a plan.
James's POV
I wish I could just take her home with me. She could just live with me and id never have to be apart from her. No! Youre such an idiot! I tell myself. She's too good for me! I think. But there's only one way to find out.
Mackenzie's POV
" Do you want to go to the nurse?" James asks me softly.
"No!" I protest. "She can't call my mom!"
"Do you want to just stay in the closet all day, talking and hanging out?" He asks. I laugh until I realize he is being serious, which only makes me laugh even louder.
"No James!" I say between giggles and gasping for air. Then the 1st period Bell rang and we looked up at each other.
"Let's go to my house." He blurted out.
"What?" I laughed.
"I'm serious!" He said nervously, looking to the ground. I had never, EVER ditched school before.
"But, but I can't!" I said. "I've never ditched school before!"
"Me neither, but neither of us feel like going back to class and explaining what happened, right?" James said.
"Alright!" I laughed. "Alright! I can't believe I'm actually doing this!"
"Yeah, me either, but there's a first time for everything, right Kenzie?"
"Kenzie?" I questioned staring at him.
"Oh, uhh, MACkenzie, Sorry. I didn't mean to call you that."
"No. It's fine. Perfectly fine for you to call me that. I whispered as a smile spread across his face.
James's POV
SHE SAID I CAN CALL HER KENZIE!!!SHE SAID I CAN CALL HER KENZIE!!!SHE SAID I CAN CALL HER KENZIE!!! I yelled in my mind, as heat rushed to my face. But right now I have to focus on getting both of us out of school without getting caught. I had an idea!
I turned to the beautiful girl standing next to me.
"Let's go out the back doors by the library." I said as Mackenzie nodded her head.
"If anyone asks why we are walking around with you hurt, say you fell on the stairs, and I was making sure you're okay." I explained.
Mackenzie nodded her head, obviously nervous.
"Let's go." I whispered, taking her hand. Surprisingly she didn't pull away. I just wanted to stay like this forever, hand in hand.
