Jacqueline's POV:

Bobby and I headed at the cafe and started working. Being the boss, he took charged of the whole thing and entered his office. Whereas me being the barista or waitress or whatever it's being called, serves the tables and not to ignored the weird faces my coworkers were giving me. It's obvious what's in their mind which is that I was trying to benefit myself by spending some nights with my boss. That much was obvious. It really disgusted me even to think of doing it.

"Hey! Jacqueline, right?"

I nod my head. A pretty, and let me tell you, she's like some godamn goddess, was standing in front of me. She's got a jet black hair and eye's of emerald. She's a feet taller than me. Here I thought I'm pretty. I know my head's to the brim with egos.

"Here's your nametag. I was suppose to give it to you yesterday, but I was informed that you were engaged on some other works. Anyway, I'm Corinne Jenkins. I think we'll make a great pair. Come on, let's get this over with."

She smiled all along. And I also think, we'll be a partner in crime. She's different from every other girls in here. No one talked to me on my first day of work and not now. She's the only one and I like her already.  But before I couldn't get a word out of my mouth she started dragging me towards the counter.

"Corinne, why are you dragging me? It's not like I'm lazing around, you know?"

"Ahh. I like you. And let me tell you the reason. First of all, I wanted you to taste my special coffee beans which I specifically make for our boss, whom he secretly loved it but never admitted the fact, thinking it hurts his never small ego. And second of all, you'll be feeling tired before the end of the day, which is why you need it anyway. Please be honest with your taste buds. It's a domestic violence to not to."

She winked at me and started making three cups of coffee. She's the kind of person whom you cannot just ignored but can get along pretty great within a minute. And I also knew the reason why me and my boss get along so well. Egomaniac! Yup! That's it!

"I think it'll taste amazing. By the way, why didn't I saw you when I first came to work the day before?"

"My grandma felt sick and she wanted to see me, so I went. But it was all so sudden I forgot to informed that I needed a leave. So the boss must be fuming in rage that day, I guess?"

Wait. Who's the one lying here? Corinne said her grandma felt sick but our boss said otherwise. I think that's fishy enough for an observant like me.

"Yeah. You guess it right. I was enquiring for a job and he gave it right away saying a bimbo doesn't show up."

I skipped the part where Bobby reasoned her absence. And I also realized that instant that it must be her he was referring to as the bimbo. Well, she isn't to me, as far as I'm concerned. Maybe he was too angry with the lack of staff. That must be it...

"It was me, the bimbo, you know? That wasn't new to me anymore. We can't tolerate each other but I also don't mind exchanging some sarcasm between us. Especially during working hours which will irritate him to no end, that results in him barging at his office, which means we had the greatest day with the most efficient work done."

"What would you think of me if I say that I'm living with him under the same roof?"

"No way! You are joking, right?"

"I don't think so..."

I replied hesitantly but I didn't expect her answer would shocked me that bad.

"Well... he might be a pain in the ass then."

She giggled saying that but I laughed my lungs out. She's really amazing. She handed me the cup of coffee she was making. It's a really big cup and tasted wonderful. So I don't mind how huge the cup is. I gave her a thumbs up.

And added, "I wouldn't mind drinking everyday. That gave justice to my taste bud right?"

This time I winked at her.

"I'll have to go give this cup to you_know_who. He'll probably be fuming for being late. But again I don't mind exchanging some few words. It's so dramatic sometimes."

I know by now what words meant for her when it comes to talking with Bobby. It won't exactly be words. It'll be worst than that. Sarcasm would be one of them. So you can guess what more worse words could be exchanged.

"Okay. Don't worry, he'll atleast drink that cup of yours. He can't simply refuse with that amount of magic you've spelt."

"I take that as a compliment, Jacqueline. Thank you. I better get to him before he calls out, which for some weird reasons frequently did."

"You're welcome. Hurry your butts. I don't want you getting caught in our bubbly chatter by that boss of ours. I don't even want to think of the consequences later on. I also need some tables to start serving."

"Alright! Wish me luck!"

We both laughed at that. She's a smartass with a mixture of some beauty and humour. We parted our ways and I grabbed a notepad and a pen and looked out for the newly arrivals.

Sorry lovelies. I always ended up not updating timely. It's because of my personal works which includes pursuing my Master course in Life sciences of Zoology.
Yeah I know. Very bad story and worst English for a student studying M.Sc.
Again my sincere apology for that too. I'm just living my dream. I really want to be an author which Wattpad gave me the exact platform to try living it. I never wrote an actual book. Here's my first. So pretty please share your thoughts whether I should continue writing. I'd remain grateful to you all. Thank you so much, my lovely readers.

What's your thoughts on Corinne? Yeah that girl. She's...
