"Sometimes, you have to run away to find yourself.
Sometimes, you find yourself where you aren't looking.
Sometimes, you find yourself only after you lose yourself."

Jacqueline's P.O.V:

"Jacqueline, are you planning to go somewhere?" Bobby asked just as I finished strapping my heel.

"Yes. I have a dinner date with Mark, which you don't have to ask who he is."

I don't know, sometimes some things are better left unexplained.

"You don't have to be rude. You can go wherever you want. Just don't get into trouble alright?"

Guilt gnawed up on my stomach. He's being caring and watching out for me. And what did I do in return? Instead of showing some gratitude, all I did was snapped for no reason.

"I'm sorry, Bobby. I didn't mean to sound like that. He's a friend of mine and he will be the one to help me out if I happen to get into trouble, because he's just like that. Always ready to help me out."

"It's alright but where did he disappeared those months while you were living out there unprotected? You said he's always there for you."

That's an expected question due to my non-stop blabbering.

"He was busy those times. His family needs him more than I need him."

But I got a feeling he's still skeptical for some unknown reason.

"Bullshit. He shows up now because?"

"Because he wants to meet his friend, idiot. He's not busy with his family anymore. Is it so wrong to go for a dinner with my only friend?"

I burst out of annoyance, frustration and sudden anger.

"I'm sorry, alright? Cool down with the attitude, girl. I'm being protective is all. You're like my little sister, you know."

"Overprotective should be the word. I'll be late so drop me off, will ya?"

It hurts to know that he thinks of me as his little sister. I badly wanted to have a big brother but not Bobby. He's too attractive to be thought as a brother. Am I having a delusion? Because I like Bobby and the next thing I was kissing Dennis like the world will end any minute.

"What's the magic word?" So he wants me to beg. Not happening.

"Peas? Cheese? Bees?"

"What the hell, Jacqueline? I said 'magic word'."

"Hahaha. Gotcha. Pretty please?"

"Well if you beg."

"Idiot."

"Your idiot."
As much as I like to continue our sweet banter, I'm running out of time. I don't know the place and so does Bobby. Mark send me the address an hour ago and told me to meet at 7. He's busy with his meeting so he couldn't personally picked me up. It's striking 6:45 so we need to hurry up otherwise I'll be late.  Bobby search the address on his GPS and it happens to be only 10 minutes drive from his place.

"You know who to call when you need help."

"Thanks for the ride. I know, I'll surely call Corrine thanks for reminding me." By now I know how to annoy Bobby James Crawford.

"Don't you dare call her Jacqueline while I'm available. I swear..."

"Aww come one. Don't be the grumpy grandma here. She'll help me more than you possibly can. You don't have the girl power we possess. Or do you suddenly turn into one? If so, I don't mind you helping me too."
