"All these places have their moments, with lovers and friends I still can recall. Some are dead and some are living in my life. I've loved them all."

Jacqueline's POV:

"Jacqueline! I missed you so much."

Corrine asked me to accompany her during her shopping spree so I gladly accepted it. And she was exaggerating regarding her missing me. We always met everyday at the cafe. Bobby forced Dennis to allow me to visit the cafe everyday, except for the weekends. Dennis was begrudgingly against the idea at first but Bobby wouldn't back away.

It has been a week since I moved in to Dennis's mansion. Yes it's a freaking MIllion dollar mansion! The first few days were awkwardly weird and tiresome. I never saw Dennis after the first day of moving in and he allowed me to stay inside the mansion, like he promise Corrine he'd.  It's a little too huge for a person living on his own and that's an understatement of the century. It's a massive huge mansion even for an entire family of ten. The maids quarter is a big beautiful building. From gardener to butcher to plumber, every kinds of profession needed are there and they kept themselves busy the whole day. Because of all these people, the lawn looks spectacular, the garden looks wonderful with so many kinds of flowers, the mansion cleaned and beautiful, everything is perfect.

"There'll be party next week so I want to look presentable and you should too..." Corrine pulled my hands towards her car. It's a Bentley for christsake. "...since Dennis will be there as well." She finishes off her sentence with a wink.
She always does that and it's nerve wrecking.

"Why would I be going to a party I wasn't invited?"

"I'm inviting you now."

"It's your party? And you're telling me this just now?"
I hit her playfully.

"Ow...ow... that hurts. I haven't told anybody yet. It's next week not this week."

"Why are you holding a party? Is it your birthday? Oh I'm such a fool and a bad bad friend. I didn't even know when your birthday is."

"Don't be a melodramatic queen here. We haven't really shared our personal details so far, so this is the only way we can discover each other. I'll surprise you, you'll surprise me end of story."

I felt so guilty hearing her said that because it's true. True because I haven't shared anything to any of them about me, my family and my life. They don't have to tell me anything about them because I live with them and I know everything about them that I need to know. But I just can't put all of my miseries in the open for them to have a pity on me in addition to this pity stares I've been receiving.

"Yeah. Right. So it's your birthday?"

"Duh. Can't you understand if I don't say yes? Now let's go wig shopping."

Weird.

"Wig? What for?"

"Do I have to explain everything to you? Alright! It'll be a themed party so we'll have to dress up."

"What? I don't want to relive highschool, Corrine!"

"Shut up! We have audience so be quiet." She whispered the last part. Although I strongly suspect something else. Who goes to a birthday party dressed up on a theme? Maybe she does afterall she's a Jenkins.

We entered a shop where there are many kinds of wigs. She's totally acting like a teenager.

"Let's go as...  um... it'll be a Hollywood theme so... I'll go for stereotype blonde movie star and you choose yours."
