Chapter 5

Skylar’s POV (An hour after the concert)

“Sky you looked like a dance goddess out there!” My best friend Emma said as she grabbed me by the shoulders and we both screamed.

“WHEN DID YOU GET HERE? I THOUGHT YOU WOULD TEXT ME!” I scream since I am still in shock.

“I wanted to surprise my best friend” Emma says as she winks at me.

“You are such a flirt” I say and Emma starts to blush.

“Guilty as charged” Emma says. She always had the best sense of humor.

“So how have you been? I mean it has been like what five months” I ask as we sit down on the sofa on the bus.

“Everything is going well, Chase broke up with me about two months ago..” Emma could not finish her sentence because I stepped in.

“I’m so sorry Em, what happened?” I ask very curious.

“He told me I was getting too big for his liking so he dumped me” Emma says as a few tears started to flow down her cheeks.  

“THAT IS ALMOST AS BAD AS WHEN AUSTIN BROKE UP WITH ME!” I screamed a little too loudly.

“SKYLAR MARIE HORAN! YOU HAD A BOYFRIEND AND DID NOT TELL ME!” Niall asks, his voice is cracking as he said it. “We tell eachother everything”. By now I could tell that my brother was upset.

“Ni, its not what you think” I say.

“Sky just stop” Niall says as he walks away to his bunk and I start to cry. I get up and run into the one bedroom on the bus and lock the door.

Harry’s POV

“Sky just stop” Niall said as he walked away from Skylar who ran into the bedroom.

“Louis keep Emma company while I talk to Sky” I say as I walk towards the bedroom. I try to open the door but it is locked.

“Go away” Skylar says. I could tell in her voice that she is crying.

“Sky its me Harry, please open the door” I say, then I start to hear footsteps coming closer to the door.

“What do you want Harry?” Skylar asks looking down.

“I want you to be alright. That is all I care about” I say as Skylar walks away from the door and I walk in.

“Close the door” Skylar says still crying, so I closed it. Then I go over to the bed and lay down as did she.

“Come here love” I say as she scooted closer to me and I kiss her forehead.

“Harry we can’t do this, Niall would kill you” Skylar says now looking right at me.

“Sky, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever met. I love your laugh, smile, your outlook on life. I guess what I’m saying is that I love you” I say.. shit I just dropped the big ‘L’ word on the third day I have known her.

“Harry.. I.. I just can’t. You make me feel safe, but I know that you are the flirt. You play with girls hearts. I don’t want that to be me” Skylar says and starts to cry.

“Sky I will never do that to you. You mean way too much to me now” I said before I kiss her cheek.

Skylar’s POV

“Sky I will never do that to you. You mean way too much to me now” Harry says before he kisses my cheek. When he did I felt like mini sparklers were going off inside me (A/N Sparklers are like mini fireworks). “I promise as I long as I am with you, nothing will hurt you” Harry says as he kisses my cheek one last time.

Emma’s POV (WARNING THIS CHAPTER WILL HAVE MATURE CONTENT)

“THAT IS ALMOST AS BAD AS WHEN NICK BROKE UP WITH ME!” Skylar screamed a little too loudly.

“SKYLAR MARIE HORAN! YOU HAD A BOYFRIEND AND DID NOT TELL ME!” Niall asks, his voice is cracking as he said it. “We tell eachother everything”.

“Ni, its not what you think” Skylar says.

“Sky just stop” Niall says as he walks away to his bunk on the bus. Then Skylar runs crying into the one bedroom on the bus.

“Emma are you ok?” Louis comes over to me and asks as he puts his hand on top of mine. I could feel sparks all over my body. Why does this happen to me when he has Eleanor!

“Yeah, I’m fine now” I reply and he sits down in the chair next to me.

“Thats good, I over heard what your ex boyfriend call you. That is completely uncalled for. You are so beautiful and if anything if you were any thinner you would be a stick..” Louis starts to say but then realizes what came out of his mouth. “I’m so sorry Em, that did not come out the way I intended it too”.

“Don’t worry about it Lou, Sky had it much worse. I don’t know if Niall told you about the time that she spent four days up in her room. All she would do is cry and cut herself”. I was in complete shock. Skylar did not seem like the person to even know what that was. She looks so innocent. “When I finally got to her on the fourth day she had cuts on her wrists and thighs, some were open and some healed but still red. She was bawling her eyes out. After about fifteen minutes of her crying she finally told me what was wrong. He ex Austin sent her like a six hundred word text on what is wrong with her. I remember the beginning ‘Babe welcome to Dumpsville: Population YOU’” Emma finishes the story and I am in even more shock.

“Does Niall know about the cutting?” I ask Emma and she shook her head.

“No, if he did he would be WAY more protective than he is now. This happened in year eleven. They dated for about ten months. She loved him and it seemed that he loved her, but I guess not. If you love someone you take them for who they are, just how they are. They don’t need to change for you” Emma says.

“That was deep,looks like Zayn has a new person to compete with to be deep” I say and Emma and I laugh. “Thank you so much for telling me this. I want to help and protect Skylar as much as I can. I know you want to do the same.”

“Yeah, she is my best friend. I have known her for years. She is a sister to me” Emma says and I pull her into my chest.

“What about Eleanor?” She asks me.

“Truth is I broke up with her two months ago. I just have to not told the lads yet” I reply as I kiss her cheek. Was I going too fast?

Niall’s POV

“I am being the worst brother ever” I tell Liam who is sitting by the kitchen table while I get some food.

“Niall, I have to agree with you right now. I mean you already made her cry twice in two days.
