Chapter 37

Skylar’s POV

“Sky I’m back!” Emma shouts as I hear the door close.

“Upstairs” I reply and I hear her stepping up the stairs.

“So how did the appointment go?” Emma asks as she walks into my bedroom and sits on the bed.

“It went well, everything is going normal and in two weeks we will know if baby Styles is a boy or a girl” I reply and Emma smiles.

“I can’t wait speaking of Styles where is he?”

“He went to get me some ice cream with Niall, I’ve been wanting some. I don’t think it is a craving” I reply to Emma and she moves over to the other side of the bed.

“Well are you willing to share your ice cream?” Emma asks and I laugh.

“Yes, as long as you don’t eat it all” I reply and Emma laughs.

“Well then it is not a craving because if it was you would not be willing to share it, besides I will let you have it all. I was just testing you. It is all yours.”

“Thanks Em, what do you want to do?” I ask her.

“How about we go play some video games” Emma suggests and I smile before I get up from the bed.

“That sounds good” I say and then Emma gets up from the bed. We walk down stairs and into the living space. I open the cabinet and turn on the xbox 360.

“Lets play Call of Duty” Emma says and I nod before I grab the game and put it in the xbox. Then the title screen for the xbox comes up I grab the two controllers and walk back to the couch. I sit down before I hand the controller to Emma.

Harry’s POV

“Niall, what flavor did Sky want again?” I ask Niall who is next to me as we walk around the ice cream section of the store.

“She like Butterfinger” Niall says before he opens the door and pulls out two cartons of it. We walk to the register and pay for the ice cream before we walk to the car.

“EMMA WHERE ARE YOU HIDING!?” I hear Skylar shout to Emma. Niall walks past me to put the ice cream away. I walk into the living area to see Emma and Skylar playing Call of Duty.

“Looks like you two are having fun” I say as I walk to Skylar and she pauses the game before I give her a kiss on the lips.

“Yeah, we wanted to do this so we came down here as soon as Emma and Louis came home” Skylar replies.

“Can we get back to the game, I’m about to kill Skylar” Emma says and I laugh before Skylar unpauses the game. I look at the screen to see Emma hiding near the trees and Skylar up in one of the buildings looking over the trees.

“I see you Skylar Horan” Emma says as she shoots her gun and it kills Skylar.

“HOW DID THAT EVEN HAPPEN!” Skylar shouts and then laughs which makes us all laugh.

“Looks like this game is done, and we have your ice cream” I say and Skylar looks at me with a smile before she runs into the kitchen. Emma and I follow her, when we get into the kitchen, she already has a spoon and is eating her ice cream.

“Looks like you are enjoying it” Emma says and I laugh.

“Thanks Ni” Skylar says to Niall who is somewhere in the house.

Ten minutes later

“Haz, I want to show you something” Skylar says as she takes my hand and brings me to her bedroom before she goes over to her desk and opens one of the doors.

“What are you doing Sky?” I ask her then she takes out a box. She sits down on the floor and I do the same.

“This is my memory box. Everything that I used to love or I wanted to save is in here. I thought it is time to show you” Skylar says as she opens the box and pulls out a old bunny.

“This is Carrot, I have had him ever since I was little. I think my dad gave him to me when I was born” Sky says as she hands him to me. I take him from her and study the stuffed bunny. Its ears have some rips in it, the fur is not soft anymore. It is clear that Skylar loved this bunny.

“I can see that you loved Carrot” I say as I hand him back to her.

“Yeah, I plan on giving it to my daughter” She says as she puts Carrot on her little baby bump.

“Well then lets hope that this baby is a girl. If it turns out to be I know she will love it” I say before I give Skylar a kiss on the lips. When we break apart she puts Carrot back in the box.

After a few hours of going through the box, we finally finished.

“Thanks for showing me this” I say as I stand up and so does Skylar.

“It is no problem. When is your flight back?” She asks me and I take her hand.

“The day after tomorrow” I reply and she looks down. I take my hand and lift her chin up.

“Don’t worry, I will be back in two weeks to go to the next appointment. Think of it this way, when I come back we can find out whether peanut is a boy or a girl” I say as I put my hand on her stomach and she smiles before putting hers on top of mine.
