Chapter 51

3 Months Later

Skylar’s POV

I wake up with a sharp pain in my lower stomach.

“Harry” I say as I nudge him a little.

“Hmm.”

“Harry you have to wake up” I say as I nudge him a little harder.

“What do you want Sky? I’m sleeping” Harry replies as he takes his pillow and puts it over his head.

“Well your daughter is coming” I say and he shoots up from bed. I don’t think his feet touched the ground till he got to the closet.

“Are you alright love?” He asks me as he throws items into two bags.

“Yeah’ I’m fine for now. Should I text the lads and Emma?” I ask him.

“Yes” He replies. I take my phone from the counter and text Emma, Niall, Louis, Liam, Zayn, Gemma, and Anne. I know that they all want to be there when Lyric is born.

“All set” Harry says as he comes out of the closet with two bags. He walks over to me and helps me out of bed. We walk out to the car. I get in the passenger seat and Harry throws the two bags in the back seat before he gets in the drivers seat and starts the car.

“I love you” I say and Harry looks at me before he takes my hand in his. He backs out of the driveway of his flat in London.

“WHERE IS MY BEST FRIEND!?” I hear Emma call from somewhere in the hallway.

“I’m in here” I reply and Emma runs in.

“Hi Sky, how are you feeling? We got here as fast as we could” Emma says as she sits down on the other chair next to my bed. Harry is still holding my hand.

“I’m fine, the contractions are fifteen minutes apart and the last one was three minutes ago” I reply as Louis, Niall, Liam, and Zayn walk in.

“Well she definitely has Harry’s timing” Louis says and I laugh.

“I’m sorry that I texted you this early” I say as I take a deep breath since I can feel another contraction coming soon.

“We would do anything to be here, nothing in the world could make us miss this” Liam says and I smile.

“I think Skylar needs some sleep. It is going to be a long time before Lyric is here” Harry tell them as he looks at me. I nod my head and lay down and try to get comfortable. I already had the epidural to help with the pain.

Harry’s POV

“I’m so nervous” I tell Niall as Emma, Louis, Liam, and Zayn went to get some coffee. I knew that Niall wouldn’t leave his sister at all.

“Don’t be, she is in the safest place right now. She is sleeping peacefully and you can see how Lyric is doing along with Skylar” Niall replies as he points to the monitor.

“Do you think I’m ready to be a dad?”

“Harry, you are going to be a great dad. She is going to love you endlessly. Has your mum and Gemma texted how far they are?” Niall replies and I smile.

“Yeah, they are about twenty minutes away. Skylar should be fully dilated by then” I reply and Niall nods. I feel a tight squeeze on my hand. I immediatly look at Skylar. Her eyes are open and I can tell that she is in a lot of pain.

“GO GET THE DOCTOR!” Skylar shouts and scares me. Niall gets up from his seat and goes to get the doctor. I look at Skylar and she is breathing like she practiced in the classes.

“Looks like you're ready” The doctor says and Skylar smiles at me.

I look down Lyric who is sleeping in my arms. She is so small and perfect. She already has my color hair and little curls coming from it. I can’t believe she is here. Skylar and I have waited so long. I look at from Lyric to Skylar. She is sleeping so peacefully. She did a great job. I wish I could have taken the pain for her.

“Harry? Can I come in?” I hear my sister call. I look over to the door to see Gemma walking in with a smile.

“Hi Gem” I say as she walks over to me and gives me a hug. Then she looks down at Lyric and she smiles even bigger.

“Harry she is so small. Can I hold her?” Gemma asks and I laugh before I pass Lyric over to her. “She looks just like you.”

“I know it is crazy, but I bet she is going to be just like Skylar” I reply and Gemma laughs.

“Hi Lyr, its Auntie Gemma. I’m going to spoil you so much” Gemma says before she kisses Lyric’s forehead. “How is Sky doing?”

“She is very tired as you can tell, but she did great.”

“I can’t wait for the wedding and to see Lyric grow up and maybe have more Skylar and Harry’s come” Gemma replies and I laugh. I hope so.
